Great experience - A really great trip. Everything worked out great and the staff at Dolswim were all super friendly. Respectful handling of the animals is also guaranteed. They all try very hard to make sure you really see whales

Greatest experience - We had a brilliant time! Julian and Fletcher were very open and talked us through the trip and safety precautions. They were open that we might not spot any, and I appreciated their honesty. It takes a while to get out to where you might find the whales and there were other boats there. Luckily, we spotted a young sperm whale very quickly! While the other boats raced towards it (with some people going in despite it being illegal!) both Fletcher and Julian remained so respectful of the whales, their personal space while trying to give us the best experience possible. The other boats weren’t patient and shot off soon after the whale dove deeper. We hung around for a while longer and luckily spotted two more sperm whales. One was resting and we were able to get close alongside for quite a few minutes whilst remaining so respectful. Julian and Fletcher were fantastic and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I couldn’t recommend more highly!

Great high sea experience to see Waterfalls - An excellent boat tour where we were able to observe waterfalls at a safe distance for us and for mammals. We had the opportunity to see at least 4 squalots. Very responsible and professional hosts, where the most important is the welfare of the animals and not our willingness to see from close.

For people who care about animal welfare - I have long been looking for a whale watching tour provider that respects the animals and does not offer to swim with the whales (because that is illegal). I chose Dolswim and we are more than satisfied! When whales were in sight, we drove slowly to them and the whales were not crowded. Unfortunately, many other boats "tracked" the whales and let people into the water. When the Coast Guard arrived, you noticed how few boats had nothing to fear, because most of them left immediately. After that we were almost alone with the whales:)

Amazing to see whales - All as planned and described. We were lucky to see several sperm whales. The boat skipper and mate respected the whales at kept sensible distance unfortunately unlike some other operators.

Best whale watch tour Mauritius - Had an amazing whale watching tour with Dolswim in Mauritius. On our tour we saw sperm whales and pilot whales. The guide gave information as we were at sea. Probably the best and most animal friendly tour guides you will find in Mauritius on the West coast. It is forbidden to swim with whales in Mauritius but unfortunately many (illegal) tour guides offer these experiences. Dolswim treats the animals with the respect they deserve. They obey the official rules and approach the animals with care, which makes that they stay visible for a longer time than with other less careful companies. Book a tour with them you won't regret it!!

Great trip whale watching - Experienced boat crew and friendly helpful staff when booking. We weee staying in north of island and gave ourself two hours to travel what satnav said would be 80min journey. We were late, However we messaged to say we were running slightly behind and they very kindly held the boat for us. Guys on the boat were excellent at getting you some great views of the whales. Trip was worth every penny in my opinion.

Delay and no whales - Arriving at the pickup we were told that the operators would rather use a boat with a roof because of two toddlers and we therefore start 10-15 minutes later. After an hour, the said boat finally arrived and it turned out that the original boat was sinking. We would have liked honest and clear communication from the start. On board was told of the unsuccessful tour in the morning and poor conditions. The men were very nice and tried. Nevertheless, we were unsuccessful and could only see a few dolphins at the starting point of the tour.

Total failure - First of all, you had problems finding a parking space in the narrow back alley. Then you were taken to a pickup truck and given a life jacket from the loading area. When my wife asked about a toilet, she was told there was one on the boat. Unfortunately, this was not the case. During the briefing, the most important thing was that you don't get your money back if you don't see any whales and that the skipper can end the trip at any time if he thinks it is appropriate. The local sailors should actually know whether they can sail or not. We sped back and forth across the sea in the roughest of waves and were lucky that no one was injured. The wild trip ended after about 1 hour instead of 2.5 hours, of course without seeing any whales but with back pain. Strangely, the next participants were already ready.
