Following a tour of the city on foot, get aboard HMS Belfast, one of the mere three vessels still surviving from the bombardment fleet that aided the Normandy invasion.
Commence with a captivating 3-hour walk through the rich history, vibrant culture, and enchanting legends of London. Traverse through Green Park leading to Buckingham Palace, witnessing the globally renowned Changing of the Guard ceremony. Proceed through Westminster, catching sights of Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament.
In the next segment, ascend the HMS Belfast, the leading star of Bombardment Force E that sustained troops stepping on Gold and Juno beaches. Her maiden mark was the German artillery battery at La Marefontaine. Owing to the bombardment executed by HMS Belfast, the battery could not contribute significantly to the beach defenses.
Your guide will guide you to HMS Belfast from where the tour concludes. Please note, your guide WILL NOT accompany you aboard HMS Belfast.
