Join our informative walking tour as we traverse the City of London, the ancient core of the capital. We’ll uncover the story behind the City’s establishment two thousand years ago and point out locations where Roman relics are still visible today, its resilience in the face of fire and combat, the grisly history of the Tower of London, the City’s age-old pub, and the simplest method to penetrate the vaults of the Bank of England!
The walking tour commences outside the exit of Tower Hill Station, concludes nearby Blackfriars Station, and is anticipated to last approximately two hours. The total walking distance is roughly two and a half miles.
We will restrict ticket availability to approximately ten participants to guarantee the best experience for everyone involved in the tour.

Very much worth our time - The tour covered a lot of interesting history and Tom did a great job covering everything. He was friendly and provided us with answers to all our questions.

Really good tour - definitely recommend - This was a great tour through the history of the City of London! Tom was a brilliant guide, with so many interesting facts and insights that he presented with cheerful enthusiasm. As a Londoner, I really enjoyed having fascinating things pointed out that I would have unknowingly walked past before.

Recommend as a starting point for London history - Tom is a fantastic and engaging tour guide. Two hours isn’t enough to properly explore the history of the city, but he does a great job of illustrating how the city builds on itself in iterative fashion.

Great tour - City to Fleet Street - This is an excellent tour. We live in London but did not know all this amazing history and the guide had lots of fun facts - extremely knowledgeable and obviously both does the research and loves history. Would recommend for a history of the City of London - you see things you don’t know existed.

Great tour! Interesting, lively and excellent guide! - I’ve been to London many times but ignored so many lovely hidden places still to discover! Tom - our guide- showed us many hidden gems which I would not have found on my own or through tourist guides! Certainly recommend it and will take another one on my next visit!

A great walking tour full of interesting information - An excellent tour full of very interesting facts and information. Tom knows so much about the city of London and took us to places that we were totally unaware of and pointed out things that I would normally just walk past without noticing. He is full of knowledge and has a good sense of humour.

Best Walking Tour Of London, Bar None. - This is our third tour with Tom, and as usual he never disappoints. His depth of knowledge, passion for what he does and interaction with his customers is absolutely top notch. Excellent tour and 1st class guide - Excellent tour which I can definitely recommend. I saw many things today which I would have never noticed before and learnt many interesting facts. There was also a lot of humour in Tom's delivery which made it very interesting. I will definitely do another one.
