Wonderful Tour of Meteora - We thoroughly enjoyed our experience touring around Meteora, Kalabaka town & Kastraki village.
Our driver and guide, Nancy, was very professional, arriving promptly, asking for our preferences, and offering great suggestions on how to proceed. The car was cool and comfortable, and at all times, we felt safe in Nancy's care.
Nancy was a font of knowledge about all things Meteora. She obviously knows the area and attractions very well. With her guidance, we were able to visit our two chosen monasteries, avoiding the crowds of tour buses.
Nancy was very accommodating of our needs. She was able to strike a good balance between guiding us and letting us make choices.
We highly recommend this tour.

Great private tour with our guide Nancy. - This private tour was definitely worth it. Our guide Nancy was very knowledgeable and adjusted our tour based on our requests and also provided valuable recommendations. We could not have had a better day. What a view! - Taking this private tour was an excellent decision. It’s so worth it to be able to dictate the tour the way we like without having to wait for other people, explore the monasteries at our own pace, as well as enjoy and admire each view longer without being worried about returning to the car late. We got the best guide in the company- thank you, Christos! Nothing compares to having a local guide who has the knowledge of Meteora’s history from millions of years ago. He gave us choices of monasteries to visit and took the time to tell important facts about each of them. He took us to several scenic viewpoints and patiently helped us to take memorable shots in different angles. And best of all, he took us where we can come back to watch the sunset! The views, everywhere he took us, were all jaw-dropping! So unique geological formations! This, indeed, was an experience of a lifetime!

Book this tour.. it is worth it. - Just simply a GREAT GREAT day. Our tour guide, Christos, was amazing. Picked us up on time and geared the tour to our pace, interests, and needs. As avid photographers he brought us to just fantastic viewpoints and gave us the time we wanted to get the best shots. Living with diabetes I needed to have a "real" lunch stop and he brought us back into town to an excellent small cafe to get a quick bite. Having grown up in the area, his knowledge and love of the region added so much to the experience. Do not think of doing this tour on your own. Parking is a nightmare and having a guide to drop you off and pick you up at the entrances of the monasteries is worth every penny.

Meteora Private Tour - We had a wonderful experience with Nancy from Meteora Thrones as our tour guide. Her knowledge and efficiency allowed us to go inside 4 of the 6 monasteries during our tour. We also were able to stop at several great spots along the way for pictures. The minivan was extremely comfortable and more than accommodated our private party of four. We ended our tour with a delightful and delicious lunch in Kalambaka. We highly recommend this tour option and strongly suggest that you request Nancy as your guide.

Majestic Meteora Tour! - My wife and I had such a wonderful tour with Christos from Meteora Thrones Travel Center. This was our first time visiting the area.
We had a private tour and Christos was the one of the best tour guides we have experienced. He was courteous, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He made many stops, explained the area and gave us many tips that we would have never been able to get from the internet. Thank you Christos!!
Included in our private tour was a private tour guide inside one of the monasteries. Equally as impressive was our tour guide Niki. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous (she actually has her masters in this subject area). We learned so much about certain parts of the monastery and its history. We were fortunate to experience a sacrament not apart of our tour. Thank you Niki!!

Unforgettable Journey - We are two sets of couples who enjoy traveling together. Everywhere we go we hire guides from Viator. Two people in our small group have difficulty walking so we find we need to modify our tours and hire private guides. We have never been disappointed. In Meteora we were amazed by the views. Our Guide, Christos was exceptional and honestly the best we have ever had. He was extremely well informed, personable and went out of his way to make our day memorable. Without him we would never known the rich history of the area, beginning with the arrival of the first monks who dwelt in caves. He took us to historic sites and churches, showed us the best viewing sites for the current monasteries and saw to our every need. As we were enjoying lunch on the patio of a local restaurant, the Olympic torched passed by! Christos chased down the photo for us. What an unforgettable journey!

Great All Day Private Tour with Nancy!!! - We had a full day tour of Meteora with Nancy as our guide. It was a private tour, just my husband and I. Nancy was AMAZING with not only her wealth of knowledge, but the planning of our day to best avoid the crowded entries into the monasteries. As we had asked for an English speaking guide, we loved that Nancy spoke clearly, loudly, and slowly so we could both hear and understand everything she said. She pointed out many things along the way, took us to many beautiful view points for photos, of course, took us to the monestaries, and told us all the local and historical stories that went along with what we were seeing. She never tired of our many questions, and was able to answer all!!! We couldn’t thank Nancy enough for such a WONDERFUL day!!!! We learned so much and made a new friend as well!

This is not a tour but similary to reserved taxi to transport you to the plance - This is not a guided tour but simply a taxi transportation that we have to pay USD180. I think it does not worth at all especially we actually have our own car to transport. The purpose that we sign up for the tour is to get as much as insights/stories/information about meteora and the monestaries. Apparantely, the information was very basic and little. No story at all about monestaries since we were dropped at the enterence and we have do the self tour.
