Amazing tour of Kefalonia - We had a wonderful tour with Memi! She was waiting for us right when we got off the ship. My husband's family immigrated from Kefalonia to the US in the early 1900s and we had never been there before. Memi had a wealth of knowledge about the island - it was wonderful. We learned so much. Once she knew our story and some things my husband wanted to see she customized the tour a bit for us and it was perfect! She was so friendly and kind - we had an amazing day! She grew up in Australia so her English was great if you need an English speaking tour guide. And although she grew up in Australia her dad is from Kefalonia and she has lived back there for 25 years so she knows so much of the history and culture of the island. We had a fantastic day and can't wait to visit again!

What Are You Waiting For? - I would like to start off by saying our guides were 15 minutes late which set the tone poorly. However, that was quickly forgotten when we met our guides who were true superstars. They knew every nook and cranny of the magical island of Kefalonia. We described to our guides what we wanted and they knew exactly where to take us and what facts we would find interesting. If you go to Kefalonia and don't book this tour, you will never appreciate the magical Island to its full capacity.

Too much driving for what we got to see - We booked a private shore excursion and although we had a little delay getting of the ship our driver and. Tour guide were waiting for us right at the exit. Despite the fact that they were both incredibly nice, friendly and attentive, and offered us a great service with a lot of information and a safe drive around parts of the island, we would not repeat this excursion. We spent 80% of the time of our excursion in the car to get from one attraction to the next. The winery at 10:20 am (in our opinion) was not worth the long drive. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours in line to get into a cave for 5 min just to take a picture of the water (which came out really beautiful actually), then we went to a pretty oceanfront restaurant in a little village where is nothing else to see than the restaurant, and then we could take a picture of Myrtos Beach when driving by because there was no time left to actually visit the beach. The tour guide’s intentions were nice, but the excursion is not worth the money for what you see. Next time, if we go to Argostoli again, we would just go the beach in Kefalonia.
