Grindelwald is simply amazing. - Very nice place but expensive. Cable car was very nice. Top is scenic and where you will find the heart ❤️ sign saying "crash landing on you" but to go to the top of Europe is very expensive as it is 270 CH swiss francs. Worth a visit.

Fantastic. - Very smooth ride with stunning views along the way. When you get to the top, you can do a lot of things, from different walks to rides. Hiking to Bachalpsee is also very nice, though I struggle a bit.

Stunning views! - Stunning views from the top! Easy entry due to electronic tickets, we were able to skip the line since we already had tickets. Suggestions would be to list directions to the tour in the description. I had to call the tour provider and was told where the tour was. If it’s your first time in Switzerland, you may need some direction. But overall, great experience and well worth it!

Trottibike at grindelwald-first - Grindelwald-first is a must go attraction, contrary to popular belief, Grindelwald-first is a efficient, enjoyable and memorable experience. First we arrived at about 10:30 and the line at the base of the mountain went by sooner than we expected. The cable car up was excellent with stunning views of the mountain and the surrounding area, we decided to do the trottibike with zero expectation. The trottibike was incredible, with breathtaking views. The trottibike was first challenging to use but after awhile, we got the hang of it and we got down the mountain with no issue at all. Even though the trottibike was a blast, the staff didn’t emphasise how important the brakes were the bike and how incredibly fast it can go. Overall the trottibike was a very enjoyable and once in a lifetime experience for everyone to try

Could not go due to closed road - refunded - We bought tickets online on the way there just to find that both car and train access was closed due to bad weather night before. Sent e-mail to organize refund, and was refunded after 5 days. I would not buy tickets again before I can see the gondola moving. No information on the web-site about road closure when I bought tickets. They should have informed customers.

Only do if you can be at the gondola at 8am - Wait times WAY too long (30 min to get on gondola, 180 min for any of the activities). We arrived at the gondola at 10am, not super late. The only way this can be a good experience is to be up the hill between 8-8:30. Not worth the $ if the experience isn't any good for folks getting there the other 90% of the day.

Tourist trap - you won't do the activities or receive a refund - This is a tourist trap. You will not be able to complete the activities or obtain a refund. We got up as early as we could in the circumstances and drove to the Terminal Park as suggested online but a steward advised we could not park there as the car park was full. There was a running event on in Grindelwald which we were not aware of before arriving, so we had to drive around the town for over an hour searching for an available car park. When we made it to the top of the gondola at 11am, the signs describing the activities said "sold out" and words below to the effect of "adventure pass holders may be directed to another activity". We understood this meant we were too late to access the activities on our booking. There were no staff members around who we could seek clarification from without cutting to the front of customers already queuing in one of the attraction lines. I asked another customer in the line for the mountain kart if they had specific tickets for the attraction and they said they did. This confirmed our understanding of the sign that we were too late to access the activities. All of the attraction lines were over two hours long. Given the attractions were sold out, we did not consider there was any point staying longer so we left. Our request for a refund for the activities was bluntly refused. We were refused a refund because apparently we may have been permitted to use the attractions if we waited in the two hour long line and pleaded with staff. We travelled a very long way to go on the attractions, so of course we would have stood in line for a couple of hours if we thought this was all that was necessary. Not only were the lines for the attractions long, but we had to wait over an hour to take a photograph at the top of the mountain. Some tourists were apparently filming a Bollywood movie at the photo spot. Other tourists called out asking them to hurry up, which led to an altercation with tourists shouting at one another. We drove for hours, had a stressful experience searching for a park, only to find we were unable to complete the activities we were looking forward to or receive a refund. We were both upset on how the day turned out and would not recommend this activity to anyone.

WARNING!!!BIGGEST TOURIST SCAM! DO NOT GO! - If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is the worst activity we have done in all of Switzerland. We have been to Zurich, Lucern, Zermatt, Interlaken, Gruyère, and Grindewald areas. My family and I have done many activities on our trip and this is by far the worst. It is not young children friendly. We brought our two daughters with us. We were aware that one of them was too small for all rides. We were also aware that our 9y/o child could not go on 2 out of 4 adventures. My husband and I were planning to take turns, but that was not possible. They warn you on their website to not go during the afternoon time because it’s sold out and busy by then. What they don’t warn you is that the lines are already 120+ minutes long starting at 10am on a Monday. What they also don’t tell you is that even though you paid for your online tickets in advance, if the ride is already at 120+ min capacity, you will not be able to go. If at least 1 of the rides are open then they expect you to go on that twice. I’m not sure why this business is so money hungry. They totally rip off consumers and do not refund you. They act like they’re Disneyland. The first flier, the first glider, and the mountain carts were already closed for queuing at 11am so the only thing left are the trottibikes which are suppose to be kid friendly, but they’re not. The employee working there warned us that even though our daughter was tall enough, it was too dangerous for her and that she should not go because the roads are extremely steep and there’s cars and bikes that are on the same road. So basically, I paid $100 per adult and $60 for my child. My daughter and I did not get to go on anything. My husband went on the trottibike which I had no interest in and I needed to stay behind with my daughter. I emailed First Adventures asking for a refund for the activities and that they could charge me for the gondola fees, but I would like a partial refund for the rides since we didn’t get to go on any of them. They declined and said it’s my responsibility. I don’t understand why they sell children’s tickets if it’s actually not child friendly. I do not recommend. There’s plenty of other places to have fun with your children in Switzerland like Matterhorn, Pilatus Rope Park, Sattel, Gruyere, etc. Super crowded, total tourist trap, and not worth the long wait times.

Company will screw you over! - Views are amazing but company will screw you over. Do not prepay for tickets and do not go unless you can go early in the morning. They do not give refunds and sell hundreds of tickets each day - knowing that 90% of the tickets will never be used because lines are too long. My recommendation - do the gondola, but do not pay for any activities. Again, no refunds, save your money to do some paragliding!

Do NOT prepay for tickets. They will screw you over! - This is what I wish someone would have told me before I went: 1). The views are amazing and a must go to as part of any Swiss trip! 2). The company that runs the program is extremely dishonest and sell way more tickets than they can accommodate for the activities they offer any given day (Mountain Cart, Trottibike, First Glider, First Flyer). They do not give any refunds. 3). Wait to buy your tickets until you are at the resort. Also, plan to be to the resort first thing in the morning when they open. 4). Buyer Beware: If you prepay for tickets and show up later than 10:00 am, you will either be waiting in four hour lines and/or unable to get on the rides. Again, they don't give refunds and will screw you over. 5). The resort is awesome, but if you are going with a tour guide, don't prepare for activities and DO NOT plan on doing any of the rides, just go for the views, hikes, and gondola - all which are amazing. Extremely dishonest company, they prey on thousands of visitors each day who they pre-sale tickets to, knowing that 90% of them will never be able to go on an actual ride. Having said this, the gondola and actual scenery is awesome. I recommend skipping the activities and instead save your money to do paragliding at the top of the mountain. You can prepay and they will save you a spot and time.
