Excellent gastronomic tour of GDL - It's a great experience! Diego is an excellent Guide, with extensive knowledge of the history of the city, as well as his Listing as an Anthropologist allows a unique approximation of each dish you try, it was just the kind of information I was looking for on a gastronomic tour. On the other hand, Diego has a great deal with all the locals where we make the tastings, which also allows us to know more details about their businesses and how to prepare the dishes. It is guaranteed that everything you taste will be delicious and prepared with excellent quality, personally although I am from Mexico I have never tasted the cake drowned and a fruit called cocuixtle. Excellent recommendations also gave me to meet other restaurants in the city.

Would recommend to anyone visiting the area - We had a great time with our tour guide Diego. He was very knowledgeable and prepared as he took us on this food tour. It wasn’t only the food. He explained to us about the history and culture of the area. We got to try fruit that he was familiar with, that has been cultivated in Mexico, Between 5000-6000 years. We met up with some friends at a wedding after our tour the following day and we had so many great facts from our food tour that people that live in Mexico other life didn’t even know. Diego was very personable gave us our space to shop and as we went through the food tour, He was very attentive to us. I would even go as far as saying that if I come back with family, I would take the tour with them again if it’s with Diego.

I liked the activity - The guide was punctual and got to know the local market and the points he considers the best to eat. He also gave a tour of the section of fruits, crafts and sweets so you can try many things but it is better that you do not eat too much or you will not have room for the birria at the end of the tour. I like that while walking I explain the history of the place and the monuments.

A not to miss tour in Guadalajara - Diego was awesome and extremely knowledgeable about the historic sites we visited. He was extremely accommodating and at no time, did we feel pressured to move at a faster pace. During the time we were there. an issue with international cell service caused us to be "disconnected" outside of hotel WiFi. He helped us find a place to remedy the issue, so we had cell service during the rest of our stay. Diego is also excellent in keeping in touch with you. We chose to do this tour as a couple and that was one of the best decisions we have made compared to other tours elsewhere we have taken in the past. It is well worth the extra charge. His tour was the most memorable time of our stay in Guadalajara. We would highly suggest this tour and do it EARLY in your stay. He has great recommendations for places to see and eat. That way, you can take advantage of those to plan the rest of your stay. Had we more time, we would not have hesitated to take another of his tours to Chapala or a tequila experience. You will not be disappointed with the tour! Very highly recommended! Great local experience - Excellent tour! Diego grew up in the area and has a great understanding of how history, culture and food all connect. The food in the market was delicious and Diego also provided a locals perspective on Guadalajara history as you walk to the final food spot. I really enjoyed both the food and Diego's company. A wonderful personal tour. - Diego provided a perfect tour of food in the market. It could be easy to get overwhelmed, but he knew exactly where to go to get the best “barbacoa”, “tortas ahogadas”, and the finale “birria” in a picturesque plaza we would never have explored, if not for Diego. Diego grew up in Guadalajara and has personal connection to this city. Highly recommend his tour.

Food + History = An Incredible Tour! - Diego was an amazing tour guide! There is no better way to learn about a different culture than through their food. Diego took us to several family-run locations to try different foods - and they were all delicious! In between eating, we were able to see various historical and cultural sights and Diego had extensive knowledge of the area and history that he shared with us. The mix of food and history was exactly what we were looking for and we would recommend this to everyone!
