Must go! - I would definitely recommend Diamante to everyone! My kids wanted to horse back ride and we found this place online and this organization exceeded our expectations. When you arrive they take you to a reception hall that's on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean, after checking in you'll take a shuttle to you excursion (the have zip lining, ATVs, horseback riding). The horseback riding was 1 hour that took us through the forest to the beach. Our guide took photos of us on my phone for me at the start and at the beach! After the tour the shuttle took us back to the reception hall where we decided to have an all you can eat lunch that was delicious with priceless views! The buffet prices were totally affordable and so worth it.

Excellent horse riding trip - Excellent horse riding experience, through the forest then to the beach , then around the rest of the park , it’s seriously hot so wear lots of sunscreen and take water !! We then saw the sloths at the sanctuary, they seemed happy but I’m not so sure about all the big cats and monkeys in captivity, they had large enclosures but I don’t really like seeing animals caged like that Lunch was excellent And when we wanted to leave earlier they sent a bus straight away to take us home The driver on the way there was amazing , chatting away and telling us about the culture etc Recommend this trip We didn’t do the zip lining ( we are wimps 😅 )

Good for experienced riders if you are solo - What a great ride! I grew up riding but haven’t been on a horse in years, so I wasn’t really sure how it was going to go. It was listed as good for beginners. I rode Ranchero and he was SO well tempered. Since I was the only person for my time slot, we were able to let the horses run a bit and it was fantastic. I brought leggings to change into for riding (don’t wear shorts when riding!) and tennis shoes, but I wish I’d brought my boots because the stirrups rode up on my ankles when we got to galloping. If you’re just walking you should be fine in tennis shoes! (Don’t wear sandals)

Great Wildlife Sanctuary - Their wildlife sanctuary is very nice and there's a ton of very helpful staff to point out and explain stuff about the animals to you. Really happy I made the trip over--the view from the main check-in is also incredible.

Horseback riding at Diamanté Eco Park - Horseback riding was so fun with Arnold and Annie who took our pictures! The ride was beautiful and I loved our pictures. I do wish we could have actually rode the horses on the beach for just a little bit. It was one of the highlights of the day!

Fun horseback riding and beautiful animals - Our family of 4 (kids age 8 and 10) toured the animal sanctuary and went horseback riding. Both experiences were great and we’ll remember for a long time. The horseback riding was 1 hr and went on a mix of small trials with stream crossing, a more open road which led to the beach. In Costa Rica, we were told it is illegal to ride horse on the beach so this tour provided a nice option to ride to the beach where they stopped for great photos and then continue on the trails. Only my daughter (8) is an experience rider but the guides explained enough how to ride to the rest of us and we all felt safe on the horses. We had 2 guides on the rides and the only thing that could have improved the ride to bump to 5 stars was if the guides helped point out wildlife and plants along the ride, they didn’t converse much but did answer any questions we had. The animal sanctuary had a great mix of beautiful animals. It was a bit busy so we didn’t get to talk to the employees about the animals but the one we did was very knowledgeable and friendly. I loved the butterfly garden and my kids loved the big cats. There was much more offered that we didn’t have time to get to, zip lines etc. It is pretty isolated and a windy drive to get here but this place packs in lots of Costa Rican to-do’s in one location to make it worth the drive!

Horseback riding at Diamante. - My daughter and I did the 1 hour horseback riding after ziplining and animal sanctuary, so it was about 1330 on an overcast afternoon. The guides were professional but not very talkative. Guide provided safety brief and helped us mount up, then took pictures. Both my daughter and I have ridden before so comfortable in the saddle. Most trails were hilly so lots of ups and downs. Horses were 15-16 years old and didn't want to do much other than walk slow. My horse only broke into a trot when I was following too far behind the lead guide. Trails were typically too narrow to ride side by side. We rode down to the beach for pictures and then made a loop on trails around park. We enjoyed it, and price seemed reasonable, and well suited for newcomers to horseback riding but we would not do it again.
