Highlights
- Li River - Your guide pick you up at your hotel lobby at about 08:30 am. Enjoy the 1-hour drive to Zhujiang Dock to board one of the best cruises on the Li River. As the ship departs from Guilin at about 9:30 am your fantastic cruise journey starts. Your guide will escort you on board and give you an introduction to the different sites along the way. Once you are there, you would find out what it means by “picturesque”!
Around noon, have a simple lunch offered onboard by the cruise company and continue the cruise. The cruise will arrive in Yangshuo after approx. 4 hours.
After disembarking at around 2pm, take a stroll on the famous West Street, and then tour around the countryside of Yangshuo. You will also visit a local farmer’s house. You could also take a bike tour to enjoy the landscapes.
- Guilin - After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Guilin by an approx. 1.5-hour drive.

Discovering China with the help of a competent and reliable travel agent - Travel China Guide Tours organised our private tour tailoring the programme exactly to our wishes. My husband and I visited all the cities and all the countryside that we wanted to see during our 23 day trip across China. The agency provided excellent local professional guides, responsible drivers, and took care of reserving the best accommodation, most appropriate means of transport (air, train, car, boat, ship) and visits to the heritage sites, museums, and villages. Our travel consultant was available throughout our travel and reacted swiftly to meet our needs once we started out journey. I highly recommend to travellers who are not fluent in the language of the host country, who fall in the category of seasoned "elderly" travellers, and who want to discover the country not just destinations such as Beijing or Shanghai (cities in which you can easily get around with English and/or translation apps) to entrust the support to the travel agent. Our experience was highly positive.

Li River tour with Qiuyanli - Qiuyanli was our tour guide! She was amazing. The tour was stunning. The river and lime stone formations were stunning! Highly recommended!!!

A super trip with stunning scenery - The River Li trip is a must if you visit Guilin. Our guide, Tom, and our driver picked us up from our hotel at 8.30am and drove us to the dock. We then boarded our boat which departed at 10am. We had lovely seats on the second level and we were served tea on board. Twenty minutes after setting sail we were allowed on to the outside deck where the views were amazing. Tom was very informative and pointed out the sights as we cruised along the river. The cruise was three and a half hours long and the scenery was stunning throughout. We stayed outside for most of the trip - the highlight for me was seeing the scenery from the 20 Yuan note! The lunch served on board was very tasty! There was also a bar to purchase drinks.
On arriving in Yangshuo, we walked through the town to a nearby hotel where we were met by our driver. We then drove back to Guilin stopping at a tributary to the River Li and a historical village to take photographs before heading back to our hotel. It was a super day out!

Booked on short notice great experience. - We are a family of three (couple with 16 year old daughter) decided to reserve a tour in the eve of arriving at Guilin and the response from travel China guide was fast and efficient. We were picked at the hotel at 8am the next day. Our guide Kevin was excellent with perfect English, local knowledge and sensitivity to our preferences. We did the river Li boat cruise and a very nice visit to quiet old places around Yangshuo that we enjoyed greatly. We saw the show and were back to the hotel in Guilin at 10pm. Long but unforgettable day.

Amazing. - Everyone sets an expectation of the holiday that they have planned. It was the same for me. But GUILIN far exceeded the expectationsl that I had set. It is really beautiful & the pictures available online, do not & cannot do justice to the real beauty of the city.
My experience would not be how it turned out to be without my amazing guide named 'Quiyan Li' from Travel China Guide tours.

Great day cruise - Had a lovely Li River 1-day cruise. Our guide Monica & driver picked us up at our hotel at 8am & we drove 1 hour to the pier. The cruise was 4-ish hours & we were given lunch (we were actually given a ‘western’ lunch of cheese and ham sandwiches, crisps, steam cakes & chocolate!
Our guide pointed out the sights on the way & when we disembarked we walked through the little village to find our driver - very helpful to have a guide with us on the journey to help us know where to go at the other end.
We did drive to a little village nearby but there wasn’t much to see here, so we were happy to come home again. Return car journey took 2hrs.
Our guide knew we wanted to visit Elephant Park so when we were dropped off by the driver she kindly walked us to/around the park & told us all about the park & the viewpoint.
The cruise through the river was one of our highlights while in China, and I’m very glad we didn’t have to get a coach/bus back to Guilin city by ourselves. Communication beforehand was great too. Would recommend.

Fabuleus river cruise with super enthousiast guide - The cruise on River Li was absolutely fabulous. Having Kevin as my local guide was like the cherry on the cake! Perfect organisation, helpful kind driver, tips and explanations. As in my case I had some spare time, Kevin organised some extra activities for me. Relaxed tour and sightseeing with a guide with huge social skills and guiding experience all over China, but especially in his hometown Guilin. A must do on your trip through China!

Perfect trip to Guilin and Yangshuo with best guide! - If you travel to China, you can’t miss Guilin and Yangshuo! The scenery on the Li River Cruise is breathtaking! The reed flute cave is big and lit up like a disco. The food we had in town was delicious. We aren’t big shoppers, but there were plenty of nice looking shops in Guilin and especially Yangshuo. Having a private guide and driver really allowed us to relax and let the pros take care of things. Our guide, Kathy, was amazing! The best!!! She told us lots of interesting things about the culture and sites of the area, taught us some Mandarin, made excellent recommendations for things to do and places to eat. But most of all she was thoughtful, funny, and fun to hang out with! Will genuinely miss her! Our driver was very pleasant, patient, and safe. The travel agency was accommodating with our challenging flight schedule, and Kathy did a great job helping us make the most of our time. We had a busy trip elsewhere in China leading up to this. This was our final stop. It was the perfect, relaxing finale to an amazing vacation!

Fantastic Trip - My daughter and I took this trip and it was wonderful. Our tour guide, Tom Wu, is very knowledgeable and his English speaking skills are impressive. Our driver was prompt and we always felt safe. Of course the scenery is gorgeous. We would recommend this trip highly.

1 Day Guilin Tour - My trip wasn't the Li River cruise due to visiting in December; it was a 1 day tour of Guilin (Elephant Trunk Hill, Ronghu & Shanhu Lake, East-West Alley, and Reed Flute Cave). It was really fun with the guide, Arthur Du - he speaks good English, is very knowledgeable about the history of Guilin and other things, and he is very kind. I really, really recommend Arthur.
