Chimborazo Volcano, standing at an altitude of 6,268 meters above sea level, is the pinnacle of Ecuador’s volcanic formations. Its uniqueness lies in being the world’s tallest volcano measured from the earth’s center.

The excursion sets off from Quito, with pick-up and drop-off services provided at hotels across the city’s tourism district (hotels near the airport might require an additional fee). The destination is the Chimborazo Wildlife Refuge, roughly a four-hour ride from Quito. Upon reaching, we first acclimatize at the base refuge and then continue towards the second refuge or the Condorcocha lagoon, which takes approximately an hour hike from the first refuge.
