Absolute best Tikal experience! - Marlon was by far the most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had. Whether it was history, architecture, bird or monkey identification, he knew it all at the drop of a hat! He is worth every quetzal and more, we would not have seen Tikal any other way!

Awesome Experience - Marlon was a fantastic guide! We met him at the Hotel Jaguar Inn where we had a delicious lunch. He had messaged us in advance so had our ticket info all ready when we got to the gate. Right off the bat he pointed out a crocodile! Marlon is very knowledgeable about the park and we all learned a ton about Tikal. Marlon gave us options as we went along. The rain was pretty constant during the second half of the tour yet we still got to see everything we we wanted, even a spider monkey! All and all a great experience for our whole family and I'd totally recommend Gem Trips.

GEM tours is a must! - We debated whether to tour Tikal ourselves or hire a guide. We were so happy we chose to use a guide and that guide was Marlon! He was incredibly knowledgeable! Marlon made the experience so much better! Marlon's knowledge of Tikal was never ending. He taught us about the plants, insects, animals, and history. There was something of interest for everyone! Marlon also tailored the trip to fit with our abilities. Our group had abilities ranging from some people who were very fit and could do everything to others who were struggling just to walk through the park. On the spot Marlon crafted ways to meet each of our needs with optional mini tours (fewer steps), optional tours (with lots of steps), and just walking and talking about what we could see! We are now considering another trip and would definitely seek out Marlon as a guide. His knowledge enhanced our experience so much!

Awesome Tikal Tour #TikalwiththeCastillos - Marlon was a great guide, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain in detail in English and Spanish. He was also very attentive to the needs of my mother and uncle who were unable to do all the walking we did. I would recommend and use him again- Gem trips

Incredible history and wildlife - Marlon is the best guide in the whole park! The entire tour was masterfully guided, we seemed to always be at a site with no people, and stay in the shadier/jungly parts of the park until it got closer to sunset. We reached some of the most stunning temples at perfect golden hour timing-great for photos. Marlon answered all of our questions and then some! He also was amazing at pointing out wildlife on the tour-we saw toucans, spider monkeys, coati, a baby crocodile, and so many parrots and birds. He truly has so much knowledge about the park, history, and wildlife and it led us to have the best day of the trip!

Great nature hike combined with Mayan history - My wife and I had a great time exploring TIkal with Marlon. I have traveled all over the world and I've never had a guide who was so knowledgeable and passionate about one specific park alone. His ability to recognize wildlife is supernatural. I grew up in the woods and am pretty good at spotting animals, but Marlon took it to the next level, identifying birds at extreme distances with his eyes alone and spotting tiny animals in the forest. A great trip, highly recommended.
