At 8:30am, your English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your Guilin hotel and head to Longji Rice Terraces (also known as Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces). The layers of rice terraces look like dragon’s spine therefore the name. It is approximately 2 hours drive away from Guilin city limit. On your way to Longji Rice Terraces, you will see old villages with bamboo groves and wooden houses with mountains in the backdrop. You guide will explain customs and traditions of different minorities such as Yao and Zhuang to you for better appreciation.

Longsheng with Leo! - This is the way to go. Leo picked us up at our hotel, which was great because we never would’ve made it there on our own and we got to stare out the window the whole way! His English was great and the knowledge and information he shared in the area was priceless. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Well worth it! - Leo was a very considerate and enthusiastic guide. Even though the weather at Longji wasn’t great, he tried his best to salvage the day and eventually the clouds passed so that we enjoyed some spectacular views of the rice terraces. He also recommended some tasty dishes to try for lunch (included in the tour) and he took us to a tea plantation which was very interesting (but watch out for the mosquitoes!).

Amazing Tour - Leo was amazing. My husband and I had a great day with him in Longshen rice fields. Couldn’t have imagined doing it with out him. We had a delicious lunch as well with a beautiful view . Highly recommend booking this tour!

Longshen Rice Terrace - My Wife and I had such an amazing time. Our driver Leo picked us up right on time from central Guilin. He provided a lot of interesting nformation about Guilin and Longshen. We really lucked out with the weather, nice and cool and only semi cloudy, but enough to enjoy the terraces. Highly recommend booking this tour if you are in the area!

Friendly and instructive tour with local expertise - We had a great time in our tour, exceeding expectations! Driver Lee was during the whole tour not only very friendly and communicative, but also explaining a lot of details from a local point of view.
Additionally he was very flexible, adapting to the weather conditions

Awesome tour and caring guide - Leo was a great tour guide. He customised the trip to suit my elderly parents and aunt and we anll enjoyed the trip tremendously. He shared with us good knowledge of the local culture and also history of the place. Lunch was great too and he introduced us to local food made with fresh ingredients. Leo speaks English well and it was easy to communicate with him.

Great day in rural China - We had very nice time with Li on the LongJi rice terraces. He pickled us up on time from our hotel, we took a drive to the scenic area, where he offered us two type of hikes easy with tourist buggy and descend as well as more demanding 2.5h walk. We really enjoyed in easier one and even met local people and took some nice photos. Food was local and very delicious. He even offered us to stop on a way back for tea ceremony.
