Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - We will pick you up from any hotel in Guilin at 9:30 am. Our first stop is Reed Flute Cave, a 30-minute drive away. This cave extends 240 meters deep and has a “U” shape. We will walk approximately 500 meters inside, taking about an hour to explore. Located 7 kilometers northwest of downtown Guilin, Reed Flute Cave is a must-see on most travel itineraries. Inside, you’ll find a stunning array of stalactites, stone pillars, and rock formations created by carbonate deposition, all illuminated by colorful lights, making it a natural art palace. The entrance fee is CNY90 per person.

Daxu Old Town - Our second destination is Daxu Ancient Town, a one-hour drive from Reed Flute Cave. Situated on the east bank of the Li River, 23 km southeast of Guilin City, this town boasts over 1,000 years of history, dating back to the early Northern Song Dynasty. It was one of the four renowned ancient towns in Guangxi Province 600 years ago. Notable historical sites include Gaozu Temple, Hanhuang Temple from the Qing Dynasty, assembly halls, and a two-kilometer-long bluestone street lined with well-preserved buildings. Don’t miss the Longevity Bridge, a Ming Dynasty stone arch offering beautiful views of the Li River. The visit will take about an hour.

Li River - After visiting Daxu Ancient Town, we will take a 30-minute drive to the dock for a Li River cruise on a large boat. This scenic area is one of the most beautiful in China, attracting thousands of visitors annually. The 60-kilometer waterway from Guilin City to Yangshuo County features stunning hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, and charming farming villages, all lined with bamboo. A Chinese poem describes it as “The river is a green silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hairpins.” The boat ticket costs CNY215 per person. If you prefer a shorter experience, we recommend a one-hour bamboo raft ride along the most beautiful part of the Li River, costing CNY150 per person.

Yulong River - After the cruise, we will drive for 30 minutes to Yulong Riverside, where you can enjoy an hour of electric scooter riding or cycling. The route takes you through small villages and rice paddies along the banks of the Yulong River, offering a unique view of the natural, rural scenery.

Impression Sanjie Liu - After cycling and dinner, we will drive for 30 minutes to a natural theater that uses the Li River as its stage, with mist-shrouded hills and the sky as its backdrop. The hills and their reflections in the river create an ever-changing natural background. The theater is set on the river’s natural islands, with valleys, hills, cool breezes, and streams contributing to a three-dimensional sound effect. Different weather and seasons offer unique experiences, making each performance special. This innovative opera integrates nature into its performance, earning the name ‘Human’s Masterpiece Cooperated with the God.’ After the show, we will return to your hotel in Guilin around 10:30 pm. The show ticket costs CNY328 per person.
