Highlights

Full Day Sightseeing of New Delhi & Old Delhi

Humayun’s Tomb - Pick-up at 9am and visit Humayun’s Tomb (Unesco World Heritage site) - is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi. The arched facade is inlaid with bands of white marble and red sandstone, and the building follows strict rules of Islamic geometry, with an emphasis on the number eight.

Qutub Minar - Qutub Minar (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) - The Qutub Minar that gives the complex its name is an unmissable, soaring Afghan-style victory tower and minaret, erected by sultan Qutb-ud-din in 1193 to proclaim his supremacy over the vanquished Hindu rulers of Qila Rai Pithora.

Lotus Temple - Designed for tranquil worship, Delhi’s beautiful Lotus Temple offers a rare pocket of calm in the hectic city. It is shaped like a lotus flower, with 27 delicate-looking white-marble petals. The temple was created to bring faiths together; visitors are invited to pray or meditate silently according to their own beliefs.

India Gate - This imposing 42m-high stone memorial arch was designed by Lutyens in 1921. It pays tribute to around 90,000 Indian army soldiers who died in WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations and the 1919 Anglo-Afghan War.

Parliament House - This circular, colonnaded building, designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker, was where the 1947 handover of power from Britain to the newly independent India took place, and parliament still meets here.

Rashtrapati Bhavan - Rashtrapati Bhavan or President House is an official residence of the President of India.Formerly home to the British Viceroy, the President’s House has 340 rooms, with 2.5km of corridors, and it’s fascinating to take a peek inside.

Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid) - A beautiful pocket of calm at the heart of Old Delhi’s mayhem, the capital’s largest mosque is built on a 10m elevation, towering above the surrounding hubbub. It can hold a mind-blowing 25,000 people. The marble and red-sandstone structure, known also as the ‘Friday Mosque’, was Shah Jahan’s final architectural triumph, built between 1644 and 1658.

Chandni Chowk - The highlight of the tour is an exhilarating bicycle rickshaw ride (at own expense) through the bustling and colorful streets of Chandni chowk (Silver Street).

Raj Ghat - On the banks of the Yamuna River, this peaceful, very well-maintained park contains a simple black-marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.

Swaminarayan Akshardham - Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple (Monday Closed) is Delhi’s largest temple, was built in 2005, and is breathtakingly lavish. Artisans used ancient techniques to carve the pale red sandstone into elaborate reliefs, including 20,000 deities, saints, and mythical creatures. The centerpiece is a 3m-high gold statue of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan surrounded by more, fabulously intricate carvings.

Fantastic trip - The trip was fantastic, have seen the main sights in all three cities. Thanks to driver and all the guides. They are all very warm people with lots of knowledge! The guide showed us very nice views of Taj Mahal, which was great for taking pictures. We already had our hotels booked - so we took the option without the hotels.

Recommended ! - We had a great trip - all our guides and our driver met us on time every day, all were helpful, friendly and informative - Sinul in Delhi, Mahesh in Agra and Ashok in Jaipur. We were taken to all the important sights, and our entry tickets were sorted for us by the guides. There were a couple of long car journeys, but these cities are all quite a long way apart - the car used was clean and comfortable. We opted for 5-star hotels, and they were all great (eg Marriott, Hilton etc) - each one was modern and clean with great inexpensive restaurants which we used. I would use this company again !

Brilliant tour - Our four day tour across Jaipur, Agra and Delhi with PCTI was amazing. The organiser, Shakul, was responsive and gave us a clear itinerary including pricing which he happily adjusted to our needs, e.g. changing the starting location from Delhi to Jaipur. Our driver DK was always on time and took pride in making sure the car was clean and tidy, with water always available. The local tour guides, Surya, Himmat, Vijay and Dilib, were all incredibly knowledgeable and allowed us our own free time to explore and take photos at each location. 100% recommend.

Quick but fantastic trip - Ive always travels for business in India and my wife has never visited. She wanted to go see the sights and we booked a quick trip. The care from the team was impeccable throughout the trip. DK, our driver, was hands down the best driver I’ve had in all my trips to India. Raj and Ashosh at the Taj and Jaipur was phenomenal with the history and I think they may have a second calling as professional photographers as well! I could have done without the Delhi tour but I think we were worn out with all the travel at that time. Thanks again for a wonderful trip!

A tour for those who like excellent service! - My best friend and I just wrapped our tour and I couldn’t wait to post a review. I was honestly nervous about doing the golden triangle as I had read various different stories and experiences - so finding the right group to take us around was very important. I knew we had the right one when we landed. Our driver for the entire time, D.K. Was standing at arrivals with a smile waiting for us. When we got to the car he had welcome leis for us and took us to our first hotel- the Pullman. At the hotel, they treated us like royalty and we were able to relax and get ready for the next few days of travel. (We even got customers suits made while we were there - the tailor came to our room with fabrics and he had them back to us before we departed in the morning!!!) In Delhi, we saw all the important sites, and stopped at the Kashmir carpet factory where we bought some beautiful carpets to be shipped home. The ride to Agra is long but a beautiful scenic journey through the country side. The car was very comfortable, air conditioned, with WiFi and D.K. was an excellent driver! That night we were scheduled to do the Colorful Temple, this is not for the faint of heart. It is beautiful but crowded and intense in the evening. I opted out but my friend went and enjoyed it. Taj Mahal- obviously the highlight of our trip was phenomenal. And Agra Fort as well! Then we visited some shops and purchased some great finds including a ruby ring ( Star of India and my birthstone) that I will cherish. Side note: the shops have so many amazing things- wait until the final room. We made the mistake a couple of times of purchasing before they led us to a room with even nicer things. The drive to Jaipur is less scenic. We were definitely anxious to get to our hotel. The next morning, we went Tj the Amber Fort which is incredible. If we had the time we could have spent hours there. So much history, amazing views, etc. and then we went to artisan shops and saw demonstrations of the block painting craft. Most importantly, we learned a lot. The guides were experts in Indian history, astrology, and culture. I appreciated their honest takes on what was important to know and what people hype about but is either false information or just something people say to foreigners. All three guides were excellent! And D.K. was an amazing driver and host from the time he picked us up in Delhi to the time he dropped us off at Jaipur airport. Kudos to the entire team. They easily made adjustments when we needed. And were very accommodating- they arranged it so my ring once finished was driven from Agra to Jaipur so I had it before my flight. I highly recommend this tour.

Well looked after - I had a fabulous time on my 4 day private tour. My driver Uma Shankar took good care of me. His driving was certainly not for the faint hearted, and different to how we drive back home, but did not stand out as being different to other drivers in India. The guides in each city were excellent - knowledgeable, educated and personable, well mannered and fluent in English. Of course, there is much more to see than what can be covered in four days, but it is a great option for seeing the highlights if you are short on time as I was. In most of the places I didn't feel at all rushed. The photo stop at Jal Mahal was a long way away from it - it would have been nicer to see it from a closer viewpoint. Also I would have liked to have seen the inside of the city palace at Jaipur but I was told by my guide that it wasn't very interesting and they didn't recommend it - I think we just didn't have time. I was taken to restaurants for lunch every day. The food was great at all of them, and I didn't get sick, even though one in particular looked very dirty. The four star hotels were all good - clean and comfortable, with good buffet breakfasts included. The communication with the tour company via WhatsApp was good too. I loved visiting the Taj Mahal. Other highlights for me were the mirror palace at Amber fort, the four beautiful doors at city palace, and riding an elephant. As a solo female traveller I felt safe at all times.

Obliging from booking to arriving back in Delhi, nothing was too much trouble - Highly recommend this company. Communicating from UK with requests and queries regarding tour were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. All three tour location guides were pleasant, helpful, informative and spoke good English. Mr Singh in Delhi went out of his way when we requested a place to have hands henna decorated, even walked around carrying my handbag!!! Our driver Mr Harry, even though had limited speaking English understood our requirements and was a pleasure to travel with. All bathroom facilities on our travels to different locations were of a good clean standard. Hotel accommodation in Agra and Jaipur were good but the Hans in Delhi left much to be desired. All in all would definitely recommend this company for touring the Golden Triangle.

Great Value! - We went on this tour after staying with friends in a different part of India and had a great time. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised to find everything and everyone to be very professional and friendly. I didn't realize this would be the case ahead of time, but our driver stayed with the car at almost all times while my friend and I went off with a tour guide specific to each city we visited. This made me feel very good about the security of my belongings as we had everything with us everywhere we went. The driver (K.K.) and tour guides (I can't remember their names -I want to say Mr. Mahesh was the one from Agra) were all very friendly and knowledgeable. They were more than willing to take photographs of us and I got the sense that they were very vigilant about being aware of our surroundings so that we didn't have to worry about things like pickpockets. Our driver was also very prompt and ensured that we got back to the airport on time -ahead of schedule, actually, despite heavy traffic between Jaipur and Delhi. I think the only thing we would have liked to be different was the "bazaar shopping" which seemed a little more forced/set up than what we were hoping for. It was nice to use a credit card and feel safe, but I think we were hoping for something a little more authentic feeling like an open market with haggling and such, rather than a government owned store. Overall though a great trip and great price for all of the places we got to see and experience!

Amazing Tour of the Golden Triangle! - We were very impressed with the quality of the tour guides provided. They were all so friendly, informative and helpful. Special thanks to our driver Brijesh who was so attentive and welcoming. He was always punctual and made sure that our trip went smoothly from start to finish. He even managed to get us to the airport by 5.30pm despite the heavy traffic. We will be recommending your company to any of our friends in Abu Dhabi who are making a trip to the Golden Triangle!
