  • Gwalior Fort - Start your day with breakfast and a luxurious private car ride to the historic Gwalior Fort. Upon arrival, an expert guide will lead you through the fort, which was constructed in the 8th century CE by Raja Maan Singh Tomar. Key structures within the fort include Gurjari Mahal and Man Mandir. The fort is perched on a steep hill known as Gopachal. Gurjari Mahal, built by Raja Man Singh for his wife Mrigyanayani, has been converted into a museum showcasing Jain and Hindu artifacts. Man Mandir, also built by Raja Man Singh, features exquisite wall art. Other notable structures include Hathipol, Teli ka Mandir, Sas Bahu ka Mandir, Garuda Monument, Karan Mahal, Vikram Mahal, and a magnificent Sikh temple honoring the sixth Sikh guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib.

  • Jai Vilas Palace - Following your visit to Gwalior Fort, you’ll head to Jai Vilas Palace, constructed in 1874 by Jivajirao Scindia. The palace is still home to the descendants of the royal maharajas, though part of it has been transformed into a public museum. This grand palace boasts over 400 rooms, with significant galleries displaying various exhibits. The Durbar Hall features a unique miniature silver train on the dining table used to serve royal guests, and another highlight is the sculpture of a hansa and a lady. Note that the museum is closed on Mondays.

  • Sun Temple - One of Gwalior’s most stunning temples, the Sun Temple is dedicated to the Sun God and was built in 1988 by the renowned industrialist G.D. Birla. The temple’s marble interior creates a tranquil atmosphere, while its red sandstone exterior contrasts beautifully with the lush green gardens surrounding it.

  • Tigra Dam - A top tourist destination in Gwalior, Tigra Dam is a riverside spot perfect for family visits. Boating activities are available, including speed boating for the adventurous. It’s one of the best places to visit in Gwalior.
