- Bulguksa Temple - Gyeongju was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla. Bul means Buddhism, Guk means country, and Sa means temple. Bulguksa Temple translates to ‘Buddhist country temple.’ According to historical records, Mr. Kim Deasung built Bulguksa Temple. The temple was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995.
- Woljeonggyo Bridge - Woljeonggyo Bridge was a place that only nobles and high-class individuals could cross. The bridge was originally built during the Silla dynasty. The current bridge was restored in 2008. There is a love story between a monk and Princess Yosuk associated with this bridge.
- Gyeongju Gyochon Traditional Village - A university once existed in Gyochon Village during the Silla dynasty. A notable place to visit in Gyochon Village is Mr. Choi’s house.
- Daereungwon Tomb Complex - This site contains the ancient tombs of Silla and is considered symbolic of the Silla kingdom. The tombs resemble museums, with a total of 23 tombs in the park belonging to kings, queens, and nobles.
- Cheomseongdae Observatory - Cheomseongdae Observatory is National Treasure No. 31. It was built in the 7th century and was used to observe the stars.
- Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond - After the unification of the Three Kingdoms (Baekje, Silla, Goguryeo), King Munmu built Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond to celebrate the unification. Donggung Palace was where the prince resided, and Wolji Pond is an artificial pond.
