Embark on a thrilling 2-day motorcycle tour of the Ha Giang Loop, exploring breathtaking landscapes and hidden gem villages. Ride through wild areas, visit the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, and witness the beauty of Nho Que river and Ma Pi Leng Pass.
Day 1: Ha Giang- Pacsum Pass- Heaven Gate – Can Ty Pass - Yen Minh - Tham Ma Pass - Hmong King palace - Dong Van Town
Ha Giang Province - begins at 8:30 am at our office in Ha Giang City, at Mais’s homestay, 40 Lam Dong Duong Doi. You’ll test and choose a suitable dirt bike for your adventure, riding through backroads, off-road paths, and rocky roads.
On your first day, you’ll ride through backroads, valleys, alleys, and along the river, witnessing impressive scenery with spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. Just 10 minutes outside the city, you’ll encounter amazing mountains and winding roads, offering stunning views of the beautiful mountains.
The first notable pass is Pac Sum Pass, with an altitude over 1000m above sea level. You’ll feel a cooler temperature and stop at a viewpoint to enjoy a panoramic view of the valley and villages, with stunning scenery.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - After Pac Sum Pass, you’ll continue on your dirt bike, driving up to Heaven Gate. Along the way, you’ll see beautiful landscapes and valleys, rock limestone mountains, and villages. At Heaven Gate, you’ll be amazed by the huge, deep valley and spectacular landscape.
Next, you’ll drive to the valley of Tam Son Town. On the way, you’ll visit Lung Tam Village, home to the Dao Minority people. You’ll park the jeep and walk around the village, visiting local families and learning about their culture.
Yen Minh - After visiting the village, you’ll continue to Trang Kim Valley, where you’ll see stunning views and drive up to Trang Kim Pass. You’ll stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the landscape, then head to a local restaurant in Yen Minh for lunch, with views of terraced rice paddies.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch, you’ll continue to Dong Van, stopping at famous places along the way. After 20 minutes, you’ll drive up Tham Ma road to visit the 9-step road, a popular spot for photos and panoramic views. You’ll then drive through Lao Xa and Cao villages to Dong Van, where you’ll see thousands of limestone mountains and rocky fields where people grow corn.
Dinh Vua Meo - After driving through beautiful scenery, you’ll stop to visit the Hmong King Palace, a historical site built in 1902. You’ll learn about the history and culture of the Hmong people in Ha Giang.
Dong Van - After visiting the Hmong King Palace, you’ll ride for about 45 minutes to Dong Van Town, check into your room, and have free time until dinner. After dinner, you’ll have time to explore the town.
Day 2: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Yen Minh - Ha Giang City
Ma Pi Leng Pass - After breakfast, you’ll check out at 8:30 am, pack your luggage, and leave Dong Van. You’ll drive through Happy Road, witnessing the most spectacular landscapes of Ha Giang, including Ma Pi Leng Pass, known for its breathtaking views of the valley and Nho Que River.
This pass is famous, often called the most beautiful part of the loop. From the open-air jeep, you’ll have an overview of the valley and Nho Que River. You’ll stop at a panoramic viewpoint to walk around, enjoy the view, and take pictures.
Meo Vac - After Ma Pi Leng Pass, you’ll continue to Meo Vac, driving through valleys and past Meo Vac Town. If it’s market day, you’ll stop for 30 minutes to visit the local market. You’ll then drive through the famous M Slope and see many beautiful places with thousands of limestone mountains.
You’ll drive through Mau Due Valley Village and stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Ha Giang - After lunch, you’ll continue to Yen Minh Town and then back to Ha Giang City, passing Quan Ba and Pacsum Pass. The tour will finish around 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Upon arrival in Ha Giang City, you’ll relax, take a shower, and have dinner next to our office.
