Highlights
  • Lake Ashinoko - Lake Ashi, also referred to as Hakone Lake or Ashinoko Lake, is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a crater lake that lies along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano that last erupted in 1170 CE at Ōwakudani where we can reach by Car to Get Sightseeing Cruise. Please understand weather conditions.

  • Owaku-dani Valley - Ōwakudani (大涌谷, lit. “Great Boiling Valley”) is a volcanic valley with active sulphur vents and hot springs in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was created around 3,000 years ago, as a result of the explosion of the Hakone volcano. It is a popular tourist site for its scenic views, volcanic activity, and kuro-tamago (黒卵, lit. “black egg”) — a local variety of hard-boiled eggs that uses the hot springs in their preparation.[2] As a result of them being boiled in the mineral-rich waters of the valley, which contain high levels of sulfur, the egg shells turn black and give off a slightly sulfuric odour; eating one is said to add seven years to your life

  • Chureito Pagoda - Chureito Pagoda was built on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City in 1963 as a peace memorial. Although it is located 400 steps away up the mountain, it is officially part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine. The shrine was founded on Mt. Arakura in 705 and is marked by a large red Torii gate and more than 300 cherry trees which bloom each spring. For more on Japan’s iconic Torii gates, read our Ultimate Torii Gate Tour. Arakura Sengen has a suitably colourful history. In 807, when Mt. Fuji erupted, an envoy was dispatched to the shrine to perform a ‘fire-extinguishing ritual’. Later, during the country’s civil wars, a famous warrior, Nobutora Takeda, the father of the warlord Shingen Takeda, set up camp on Mt. Arakura, prayed for and won a major victory. He then dedicated his sword to the shrine. Visitors to the shrine pray for happiness, the safe delivery of children and to ward off evil.

  • Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai are the eight springs found in Oshino, Yamanashi, Japan. The aquifer water from Mount Fuji comes out to the ground to form these springs. They are a Natural monument of Japan, part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site, and one of Yamanashi Prefecture’s important tourist attractions.

  • Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge - Lake Kawaguchi is located in the town of Fujikawaguchiko in southern Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount Fuji, Japan. It is the second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of surface area, and is located at the lowest elevation.

  • Oishi Park - Oishi Park on the north shore of Kawaguchiko is a park with a superb view of lake and Mt.Fuji at once. Various flowers bloom on the promenade along the lakeside according to the season. On a sunny day, there are many photographers who take pictures of Mt. Fuji, lake and flowers from early morning. There is a large free parking lot and is popular as a rest area of the touring of a bicycle and the motorcycle.

Flowers which bloom in profusion every season, the scenery of wide lake and magnificent view of Mt.Fuji are the charm of only Oishi park. You will feel calm if you stroll slowly in the promenade where flowers bloom while looking at Mt.Fuji.

  • Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine is one of approximately 1,300 Asama shrines in Japan that enshrine the deity of volcanoes in general and Mount Fuji in particular. The shrine is part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, designated in 2013.

Asama shrines are dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime (“cherry blossom princess”), the goddess of Mt. Fuji and all volcanoes in Japanese mythology. The vast majority of Asama shrines are within sight of Mt. Fuji; where this is not the case because of distance or obstructions, miniature replicas of Mt. Fuji made with rocks from the mountain are erected within the shrine grounds.
