- Gratteri - Let’s discover the mountains, perhaps the most beautiful in Sicily, in the heart of the Madonie Natural Park. First stop in Gratteri, a small medieval village of ancient origin, at 700m above sea level. One of the most fascinating features of Gratteri is the captivating view of the sea and the coast: a real “terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea”.
- Castelbuono - Stop to discover Castelbuono, a small medieval town full of life, history and picturesque corners. The walk passes through the main monuments (it is possible to visit the Castle of Ventimiglia which houses an ancient Palatine Chapel), but also through the most authentic streets.
During the tour, a typical Sicilian aperitif will be included to discover the flavors of our land, including the now world-famous Fiasconaro panettone.
- Santuario Gibilmanna - The journey continues towards the Sanctuary of Gibilmanna, surrounded by splendid Mediterranean vegetation. The sanctuary, dedicated to the Madonna, is perched on Pizzo San Angelo at 800 m above sea level. Its name refers to its location from the Arabic Jebel, meaning mountain or hill.

Let’s explore the mountains, arguably the most stunning in Sicily, nestled in the heart of the Madonie Natural Park. Our first stop is Gratteri, a quaint medieval village with ancient roots, situated 700 meters above sea level. One of Gratteri’s most enchanting features is its breathtaking view of the sea and coastline, truly a “terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.”
Next, we head to Castelbuono, a lively medieval town rich in history and charming corners. The walk will take us past major monuments as well as through the most genuine streets.
During the tour, we’ll enjoy a traditional Sicilian aperitif to savor the flavors of our land, including the internationally renowned Fiasconaro panettone. We’ll return in the evening.
