Rainy day saved with Paul! - My time in Halifax was very rainy. I was there for a conference and limited days for sightseeing. Despite heavy rain on my day to see the city (did also do 2 tours before and after the confernce with Paul before and after the conference to South Shore and Annapolis), Paul showed me and my colleagues the city. He takes you to all the top sights (Public Gardens, Citadel, Dartmouth, cemeteries, etc.) and knows the city and its history thoroughly, In places where the rain was too hard to get out, he stopped and showed videos of the place. Luckily was not raining for the Gardens and fairly minimal for Citadel. Paul is incredilby knowledgable, professional, and kind. I highly recommend.

Organized Experienced Professional Tour Guide - Paul provided an informative, thorough, and fun tour. We saw all the highlights of Halifax and more. We had never had a computer screen mounted in a tour van before. It really enhanced the sites even more. We got to see pictures of the insides of the sites we passed by along with videos of the history of the area. We learned so much. Paul was also excellent at keeping us on time and knew the best schedule to avoid crowds at the places we did get out to tour. Most importantly he made sure to get us back to the ship on time.

Thorough and Insightful Historic Tour of Halifax and Dartmouth - Paul McNeil's small group historic tour of Halifax was the best tour we did during our cruise from Montreal to Boston. When I read the description of the tour on Paul's website and then the reviews on TA I knew this was the one for us. Paul met us in the parking lot at the pier. We were a group of 8 and very comfortable in the van. Paul uses a centrally mounted monitor to visually assist in his narrations. To say this tour was extensive would be an understatement as Paul took us everywhere while constantly filling our brains with more and more historical facts. One goes to Halifax knowing about the Titanic and how the Carpathia and other ships brought the remains of the dead here for identification. What I did not know was that even in death the way people's remains were treated depended on their class. We visited the cemeteries and saw the marked and unmarked graves. I admit I did not know about the Halifax Explosion in December 1917 and to me learning about this devasting event has sparked my interest into researching more into it now that I have learned so much from Paul. This part of the tour was the most interesting to me. The stop for lunch at Evan's Seafood on the water in Dartmouth was an excellent choice and was a good value for fresh seafood, also the view was great. My only suggestion would be for Paul to speak a little slower. I understand he had a lot of information to get out to us in a limited amount of time but we didn't get everything he said. This was a great tour and the one I would recommend to anyone visiting Halifax and looking for an overview of it's history from it's founding to modern day.

A comprehensive tour of Halifax’s core and outskirts with sights and historical tidbits that you’ll happily gobble up - I had lots of fun touring Halifax and its outskirts in a van, with the guide being friendly and knowledgeable. All kinds of things—from the Halifax explosion to Fisherman’s Cove—were effectively covered and left me with a highly positive impression of the city as a whole. Not even the somewhat cloudy weather can keep me from recommending this tour.

Terrific Halifax Tour - We spent a wonderful day with Paul. He lead us on a thoughtful tour to the Titanic and Halifax Explosion sites. We explored Halifax and learned what a beautiful city it is and how they are maintaining their historic buildings and appearance. He adds to his narrative with history moments that he runs on a Samsung screen display. He is excellent with communication and was easy to meet.

One of the best! - We heard about Paul O’Neil from fellow cruisers as we were sailing to Canada with a stop in Halifax. Paul gave us an amazing tour, he is very passionate and knowledgeable about the area and we were not disappointed. Paul supplemented his tour with great videos as we were driving to the next location. Before our ship arrived to the port, Paul texted us of his vans location and it was easy to find him. I highly recommend this tour, this is one of the best.

Great way to see Halifax! - We did the tour of Historical Halifax today, and it was great. Paul was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a wealth of information. It was great to go to some lesser known locations, and the video provided in the van was a terrific addition. Paul's communication for setting up the tour was very fast, and we appreciated that there was ample room on the van. There was a nice mix of driving and walking around. He also was made it very efficient to stop and have lunch/dinner by having us pre-order. I would highly recommend this tour when you are in Halifax.
