Best city tour I've ever experienced. Highly recommended! - Thanks to our bus driver Thorben, we had a very entertaining and interesting city tour, the likes of which we have never been on before. Many thanks to Thorben for that. Despite being late due to a demonstration, we learned a lot about the most interesting places in the most beautiful city in the world. We did a complete circuit for 1.5 hours to enjoy the really nice and funny performance by the bus driver. It was simply wonderful!

A must in Hamburg - There is no better way to get to know Hamburg. You can get on and off at any station. Great explanations. Also tips on great sights.

Best of the tours - We went on three tours, two bus routes and a boat ride, this was by far the best of them all. Good information but best thing was the extra historical info between particular places that was general for the city rather than specific places. Driver was good as two roads on the route were closed off and he managed to find ways around to complete the journey. Well done.

Good route, but bring headphones! - Good route with a variety of well chosen stops. Runs hourly, but the stops can be a bit tricky to find amidst a sea of competing tour bus operators. Driver was courteous and quite funny with ad lib commentary made to complement the audio recording. Noise cancelling headphones are recommended for those who wish to listen in a non-German language to drown out the ambient German audio that is broadcast quite loudly on both levels of the bus. Good experience all in all.

See above - We thought there was room for improvement. Our provider only had 2 buses, so the stops were only served once an hour. There were too many providers in Hamburg (they were difficult to differentiate due to the design) who didn't work together. The stops were poorly defined. In Cologne, the route was visible via the app, in real time, so you could see exactly when the next bus was coming to that stop.

AWEFUL COCK UP - The system did not work on the bus so I had to pay again . Wouldn’t recommend aviator to anybody. Hamburg is great

Incompetent rip-off! - This has got to be the worst tour bus company ever! I took the bus from Hamburg's main train station in the morning. I got off at Elbphilharmonie to walk around for an hour. The bus driver had told me the next bus would come at 12:20 but it never showed. I was there from 12:10. I took a subway back to my hotel to get something to eat and decided to get back on the bus, again at the train station, to catch it at 14:15. The schedule if printed on the bus stop sign. It finally came at 14:35. Then the driver told me it was "Feierabend" -- quitting time. I couldn't believe it. Please take the totally red colored bus and not this cheap yellow-red rip off. I noticed the totally red-colored bus has many more buses and so the chance of you being stranded is less likely.

BADLY!!! - I ordered the trip in advance hoping to get a detailed plan of the trip, stops and times. Got a very bad description, no more than what is on tripadvisors. We came to a stop at Central Station and it took a long time before we found the right one. Strongly regretted that we didn't buy a trip on the spot. There were many other bus tours that ran frequently. Our bus ran once an hour between 10-16 (like 4 times). Had to wait a long time for the bus and it was close to giving up. A plus point is because the trip itself was ok. However, poor description, few returns have ruined the experience! Do not choose this one!
