Highlights
  • 900 Woodbank Road - Join us for an evening under the stars.

Our guides will take you on a tour first using the naked eye, where we discuss different stars and constellations such as the Southern Cross as you learn to navigate the night sky.

Get up close with our quality Celestron electronically guided telescope. This scope is great for looking at deep sky objects that cannot be seen with the naked eye, such as the Omega Cluster, or Sombrero Galaxy.

We also have our range of manual telescopes which are great for a free roam experience. Our astro binoculars work great on our lounges, where you can lie back fully and gaze up at the wonders above. Pair these with our interactive star finder and test your navigation skills!

What's Included
  • Complimentary tea and coffee
Additional Information

Manuka Skies is a truely unique stargazing location. With minimal light pollution, and in a setting of native forest and wildlife, you will be visiting a sanctuary for both astronomy and wildlife alike.

As you explore the heavens with our range of equipment, relax to the sound of our spring fed stream flowing down the mountain. Listen out for our native Morepork Owls that nest in the area.

Manuka Skies acts as Kaitiaki for the sanctuary. Meaning we are it’s guardians responsible for caring for her. Our vision is to re-connect the sky back to the earth through our forests.

Amazing night - Brent was wonderful with the kids who asked a thousand questions. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. The stars put on an amazing show everyone enjoyed. If you’re from Queensland and come in Spring, you will still need layers.

Star gazing in August - This is a great way to see the stars. They provide hot chocolate or coffee and is a small business. They have multiple different telescopes to view from including computer and traditional. They also send you pictures that you view that night which is a nice souvenir. I went in August, so you definitely need to dress warm and it's better not to go on a full moon in order to see the milky way. All in all, it was worth the money for the experience.

Perfection - The whole night was so special, Brent and Kara wore awesome and super kind I truly couldn't have asked for better tour guides. The views wore breath taking I personally wouldn't go anywhere where else if I wanted to see stars. I'll definitely be back.
