Beautiful scenery, great staff, clean boat, not quite a “2-day” cruise unfortunately… - Overall, I would recommend this trip as Ti Top Island, Sung Sot Cave, and Halong Bay were all beautiful, scenic destinations that are mandatory for one’s Vietnam experience. The staff were very hospitable and our tour guide was awesome. Bonus points for being a very well-dressed, slick gentleman with lots of useful information. The servers at the restaurant onboard were very kind, helpful, and gracious. The ship itself was in good shape, clean, well-appointed, and hey it didn’t sink or break down so I guess it is seaworthy as well. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Warm shower and good water pressure as well. Food is decent, it’s an overnight cruise so we didn’t expect Michelin star dining but it was adequate and relatively tasty. The excursions themselves were fun although i felt that they were somewhat rushed. More time on each activity and excursion would be appreciated. More on this later… They charge you for water so bring your own or expect to pay $$. Felt a bit misled as this was supposed to be an “all-inclusive” cruise. Charging for alcoholic beverages or pop I understand, but water should be included. The bad… manage your expectations regarding this being a “2-day” cruise. We got underway at around 1300hrs and were herded off the boat at around 1100hrs the next day for our transfer back to Hanoi. We spent less than 24 hours aboard. We didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth and there wasn’t enough time to do everything we wanted plus relax on the boat. It is a shame because the sun decks and balcony in our unit would have been amazing spots to relax but there wasn’t the extra time to do that. It was pretty much “go go go” from boarding to disembark and less of a relaxing type of journey.

Good - Super delicious and really nice boat. Would definitely recommend, but believe you can find a "cheaper" solution that offers you almost the same facilities

Tripadvisor leaves us with no option and stranded last minute. - The only reason I am giving an AVERAGE review is because we had booked for LAN HA BAY and NOT Halong Bay. This was because we did not want big crowds, had been told by friends that this would be a better experience. I also love snorkeling and Cat Ba Island is supposed to be good for that. Here there was hardly any swimming at all. SADLY the day before the cruise I was given a call from the Local person who called himself James VU. He said that the cruise had been changed to Halong Bay. I tried to ask him why and he directly said that he would refund 100% of my money. That is really sad as I had no where to go and I think if was completely unfair to push me into a corner. I had explained the reason why I had wanted to go to LAN HA BAY. However, all he could say it that he is cancelling the trip and will return the money. This is really sad as Tripadvisor has no way to be contacted and there is no one I can speak to. We finally had to agree to go to Halong Bay.

Very rushed - They advertise this as 2 days but we don't even get a full 24h on the boat. There's no wifi on the bus, no wifi in the bedrooms. No drinks were free. You even had to pay for tea, water. Every activity felt rushed. If you didn't show up to the food on the dot there isn't a guarantee you'll have food. They maybe 10 croissant for 10 people so if someone takes 2 you get none. Instead of rushing everything they should actually make it 2 days. Even check out they were ringing at our doors to get out even though we were still on the boat for another 2 hours

Misleading Photos and False Advertisement - My wife and I booked “2D/1N All Inclusive on Halong Bay Cruises from Hanoi with many GREAT options” on Nov 27, 2023 with the “5+ stars option” as we would like to have a Private Balcony cabin and limousine transfer from Hanoi. Overall, it was an enjoyable trip as the experience of seeing Ha Long Bay was exceptional, and our tour guide Lucy and the cruise crew were friendly and attentive at all times. However, the photos and the expectation set on the pages on Tripadvisor and Viator were extremely misleading. First of all, the cruise itself was different from any cruise photos presented. The cruise quality was significantly lower. The room we stayed in was definitely worse (and different layout) than the ones presented in the photos. Having chosen the 5+ stars options (the second most expensive option), we did have a private balcony but it was far from the photos, even considering photos selecting and enhancing. There were actually no photos of our rooms presented by the operator. It is much smaller and older. In addition, the room was not maintained to a good quality. The floor is uneven, towel hanger is crooked, the window pane was dirty, etc. The itinerary was also misleading until we checked-in on the cruise. For example, Cat Ba Island was mentioned as one of the activities (for customers joining Ha Long Bay Tour, which we did), however, we were not presented with an opportunity to visit Cat Ba Island. We would recommend using another operator for a similar cruise. It was a fun trip, but definitely not worth the cost we have paid.
