It serves as the final resting place of Vietnamese Revolutionary leader and President Ho Chi Minh, affectionately known as ‘Uncle Ho.’ His body is preserved in a glass case at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in central Hanoi. Visiting this site is a unique experience, offering more than just a typical attraction; it’s a significant piece of history.
  • Chua Tran Quoc - Trấn Quốc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, is situated on a small island near the southeastern shore of Hanoi’s West Lake, Vietnam. The main pagoda stands at 15 meters and consists of eleven levels, surrounded by buildings that include an incense burning house and a museum with historic relics. You can also find intricately carved statues from 1639, each with distinct facial features. For those seeking Instagram-worthy spots in Hanoi, Tran Quoc Pagoda is a must-visit.

The well-preserved building is an excellent example of traditional Vietnamese architecture. This historic site features a lake of literature, the Well of Heavenly Clarity, turtle steles, pavilions, courtyards, and passageways once used by royalty. Visiting the Temple of Literature allows you to explore historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors graduate, now serving as a memorial to education and literature. Initially, the university only admitted aristocrats, the elite, and royal family members, but later opened its doors to talented commoners. Successful graduates had their names engraved on stone steles, which can be found atop stone turtles.

All the highlights of Hanoi! - We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Hanh (which means “happy,” which is exactly how we would exercise her joyful demeanor!) We felt so well informed, that the day was perfectly organized and that Hanh ensured the tour was perfectly tailored to our preferences - dietary and all! Her English is perfectly fluent and her presence is truly buoyant. Our driver, Hieu,, ensured we felt safe and arrived to each destination efficiently and was always right on time to pick us up. You’ll leave feeling like you’ve made a local friend & have a deeper understanding and appreciation for Hanoi and Vietnamese culture.
