Highlights

Enjoy complimentary transport from your Healy hotel or make your own way to Black Diamond Resort Co to begin your 4WD ATV adventure.

Meet your guide, who provides you with a safety training and information course. Go over all the functions of your vehicle, get fitted with a helmet, safety goggles, gloves, and optional rain gear then hop on board the ATV for a trial run. If you prefer not to drive your own ATV, you can join the guide as a passenger aboard their 2-person machine. Then, it’s time to head into the Alaskan wilderness.

Journey into the back country, traversing old mining trails that spill out onto the Dry Creek River Bed — an excavation site for Athabascan Indian artifacts. Stop to explore an abandoned cabin across the river, breathe in the fresh mountain air and make your way up Black Diamond Peak for spectacular views of the entire Healy Valley. Your guide fills you in on local history, flora, and fauna along the way.

Break from your off-road excitement for a hearty, back country meal. Settle in for either a full-service lumberjack breakfast with fresh-baked biscuits and gravy, thick-cut bacon, and flapjacks, or dishes that include ribs, steak, chicken and fresh salmon, depending on the time of day. Juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and adult beverages are also available.

Afterward, climb back on board your ATV machine for a wild ride back to your starting point.

Great trip, beautiful scenery, delicious food - We had such a fun evening. Our guide Johnny was great (even if he thought Belgium was in Germany 😁) and the Teamster was extremely skilled with the horses and wagon. It was a rough ride so if you have back issues be aware but it was wonderful. The meal was delicious and the scenery beautiful. The horses were gorgeous and seemed to enjoy their trip! I would definitely recommend

A great family adventure - The ATV adventure was so fun! We had an exciting ride through the area, got closer to the mountains, and stopped for photos with beautiful backdrops. The lunch was a wonderful family style meal. Gavin was a great guide. He told us lots of information about the area and had us laughing. A very enjoyable day for our family.

On your ATV, Experience the real Alaska - The three-hour ride is worth the cost. The ATVs are responsive, dependable, and easy to control. Before the trail ride, the riders listen to guides sharing information about the trail rules. A short video focuses on safe riding while managing the ATV. Trail rides meander through typical Alaskan land scenery, creating feelings of "I am really in Alaska." The trails are easy to operate, running through dirt, sand, and shallow water. Dani and Sage keep safety number one, with one guide in front of the group and one at the end. Frequent stops provide Sage time to share environmental information. The adventure is accelerating and memorable. The group of 18 ATVs was large, and a group of 10 would be frequently preferred. The group size is a minor disadvantage to a fantastic trip.

A wonderful adventure - We had a fun time. We had never been on ATV's before. Evan did a great job making sure everyone knew how to operate the machine and was a great guide, giving info about the surrounding area. Louis was our other guide. They were both so nice and helpful. Supper was very good. It was a great experience. Would highly recommend!

Moose sighting! - Megan and Abigail were our tour guides. They were so nice and knowledgeable. We changed our atv to a side by side last minute and they accommodated us right away. On our way back from dinner we saw a moose eating! Highly recommend this tour. Our transportation guide was even super knowledgeable and you could tell he loves his job!

We had a blast!! ATV tour. - The BEST experience and SO MUCH FUN!! Hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our ATV tour. Tour guides were funny, empathetic and made sure everyone was having a great time, tegardless of experience. Lunch was great and plentiful. Windy, and rainy so no wildlife, but who could blame them! Would highly recommend,
