Great trip - Tour was super cool. We didnt see any moose but to be fair it was SUPER hot the day we went. Tim and Britney were fun! The only feedback I would give is we bought the video for $20. Maybe inform the clients it is only 2 min long.

Don't miss the great tour and the fun stories! - Tim and Joel are the brothers that run this family business and they make sure you have a great time. They have great stories about many things from the history of Alaska to scary interactions with Polar Bears. The trucks themselves are fun to bounce around in off road and go out on the water. I'd definitly highly recommend!

Lots of excursions to choose from in Alaska — this one is definitely one of the best!! - This was our first Fat Truck tour, but it won’t be our last! My husband and I took our grandson on a vacation for his high school graduation gift, and he chose Alaska for the destination. We went on some amazing excursions, including this one! We got to see a lot of things we wouldn’t have seen any other way. We also learned a lot about Alaska, the environment, the history, the Native American Indians, the glaciers, etc. Brittany and Joel were our drivers and they shared a lot of very interesting information and were happy to answer all of our questions. The information we learned about was a bonus we didn’t count on! It was really fun riding in this big “truck” and getting to see everything so clearly - regardless of where you sat. I was concerned about getting in and out of the truck, but the ladder in the back made it easy and there were always 2 people there to assist when needed. This was one of my favorite excursions and I would highly recommend it!!

One great tour in the Denali area. - This a great way to see the area around Healy. From the time they pick you up in front of your hotel until dropping you off again, they bend over backwards to provide the best experience possible. The information given during the tour from the Sherpa transports, to the rocks within the riverbed, to all the plants and animals that call this place home, to how a moose digestive track works. All in an interesting and exciting way. Joel, his wife, children, and tour guides treated us like family. They all wanted to love this place as much as they do. We saw a total of 8 moose, plus a rainbow today. Brittney was best driver too.

Unforgettable Adventures on Tim and Joel’s Down-to-Earth Fat Truck Tour - Tim and Joel’s Fat Truck tour provided an enjoyable experience. What stood out was their down-to-earth approach—unlike rehearsed tours, theirs felt personal. Tim, our operator, shared fascinating insights about Alaska, wildlife, and vegetation. The FAT Trucks added to the fun, leaving us eager to revisit.

Our Gat Truck Tour - We went in 2 vehicles driven by Tim and Joel. Our driver was Tim. He kept up a steady commentary, explained about the vehicle and how it operated. They provided headsets so that each person could ask questions and everybody could hear the questions as well as the answers. Tim was very knowledgeable about the different plants as well as pointing out some animals along the way. They both explained about the geology of the area and the differences in glacial changes that came about.

Wonderful experience!! - We had Tim and Brittany during our tour and it was such an amazing one. Tim was great at explaining in depth the history, plants, and experiences he has had. Brittany did a wonderful job of going into depth on homesteading and her experiences. Madison was a really sweet kid that helps out with checking you in and offering a video package of your tour. We learned so much and loved the areas we stopped and they were so friendly in helping us take photos. They had cute merch you could buy from (who doesn’t love a souvenir). Highly recommend!! If you are heading towards the Denali Park, BOOK THIS!

Do not recommend Denali Fat Truck Tours - This tour is absolutely not worth the $230 per person. We saw more wildlife from our backyard (to be fair we stayed on Otto Lake) and the tour got jammed up multiple times from other tour companies. Our tour guides were Tim and Brittany. They were knowledgeable about homesteading, foraging, geology, mining practices which is why I gave any stars. Part of our tour group was frustrated as Tim focused on telling stories rather than facts about the area around us. Tim also tried to provoke our group to debate the politics behind climate change -- we wanted facts not opinions and told him such!
