Additional Information

Following a hotel pick-up, we board a comfortable ferry for a cruise across the Gulf of Finland, heading towards Estonia. The arrival at Tallinn is expected around 11:15. Our Guide stands ready to welcome you for a 3-hour guided tour, starting from the harbour. The tour encompasses visiting Tallinn’s main city square, the Town Hall, Aleksander Nevsky Cathedral, Toompea Castle, and more. Tallinn is known for maintaining its walled, Old Town with cobblestone streets, featuring numerous cafes, shops, and the 15th-century defensive tower, Kiek in de Kök. This Old Town, dating back to the 15th century, is Estonia’s exclusive UNESCO World Heritage site, justifiably deserving this recognition. After the guided portion of your tour, enjoy some free time to discover delightful cafes, eateries, and small shops at your own pace. Post-tour, a transfer will be arranged to the port in preparation for your departure to Helsinki. The return ferry ride to Helsinki allows you a chance to relax and avail of the on-board services. The tour is scheduled to conclude at the Helsinki terminal at 9:00pm.

Excellent day in Estonia! - Excellent tour guide who drove our small group of 3 around the city with short walking excursions to see sights up close. Very informative, engaging, and responsive to questions. I appreciated how well she knew the culture and the history of the city. The only slightly negative bout the tour was that it was confusing at pickup from the hotel as the taxi driver did not identify that he was picking up for the tour. Also, getting on the correct ship without a guide was slightly stressful. But once I was in Tallinn, everything was fantastic.

Historic City of Tallin - Exploring Tallin with a kid is so much fun! My son loves the castles and the ice skating rink. We enjoyed the food and learned so much about the culture of Estonia. Taking the ship and getting in and out as chaotic as it can be is an exhilarating experience. Our guide was fantastic and Zoe was amazing! She guided us along the way.

The best historical trip in Tallinn - It was a highlight of our trip in Helsinki and Tallinn. Marie was so knowledgeable and could hold a very decent conversation with depth. We had a very good one day trip here. And we decided to visit Estonia for our next journey. The taxi driver was very kind to give us a brief tour when we came back to Helsinki. It did save us a lot of time on transportation. The whole experience was 5 starts for sure.

Tallinn tour from Helsinki - The guided walking tour was very manageable, saw some of the main sites and as it was during the Christmas period ended at the wonderful Tallinn Christmas markets. The free time given was enough to visit the sites again, grab a meal or drink, explore the markets and check out the little stores.

Good tour, BUT be prepared to walk for several hours in the Old Town - Overall, the day-trip went well. However, after we were picked up at our hotel, our shuttle driver brought us to the wrong location. As we recognized where he was about to drop us off, we told him so. He had to make a time-consuming course correction. We had to race to board the ferry, but embarked within seconds of the gates closing. The tour company representative did apologize for the driver's error and our inconvenience. The ferry trip was pleasant. Upon our arrival, we met our guide. We traveled by bus to the former palace and the surrounding parks. Then we were dropped off in the lower portion of the Old Town. For the next five hours, every part of the tour involved walking on cobblestone streets and many sets of stairs. The tour itself was excellent, and our guide was clearly knowledgeable about her country's history and the development of Tallinn. We were picked up on time and delivered to the port for our return. Bottom line: Good tour; just be prepared for many hours of walking. You will NOT be traveling by a vehicle once you arrive at Old Town.
