Kick off your day trip from the charming city of Ierapetra, celebrated for its renowned local goods. Proceed on your journey to explore the stunning eastern part of Crete. Experience the biggest palm grove in Europe, Vai Palm Beach. This palm forest pulls in numerous sightseers annually. They are attracted not just by the magnificent palm forest, but also by the vast sandy beach at its base. The day trip includes a stop at Toplou, a 15th-century monastery situated in a desolate area. The Toplou monastery is one of Crete’s most important, devoted to Panagia (Virgin Mary) and St. John the Theologian.
Also, the itinerary includes a trip to the town of Sitia, one of Crete’s least ‘touristy’ regions, established during the Venetian era.
