Meet your guide at the Cretan Spiti Travel terminal located at Eleftherias Square, in front of the Astoria Capsis Hotel, at 08:30 to commence the tour of the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, the second largest museum in Greece after the Museum of Athens. The tour begins with an introduction to Crete’s oldest findings dating back to 6000 BC, followed by highlights from the Minoan palaces of Knossos, Festos, Mallia, and Zakros. The tour continues with artifacts from cemeteries, shrines, and houses, concluding with the Minoan frescoes of Knossos. Return to the terminal in front of the Astoria Capsis Hotel at 10:30.
