Great one day tour! - We went to Tortuga Island and it was great, well organized, we book it thru costaricatravelplans.com and it cost us $95 each, I would repeat it again!!!

Great experience - We had a great experience. Keep in mind that this is an ALL DAY experience. You’ll be tired by the end of the day lol. We were picked up 5am and got back around 6:30-7pm. The tour guide (Jorge) was a very nice guy who gave some history of Costa Rica along the way. The bus used to get from San Jose to the port where you get on the speed boat to the island was so comfortable. It’s not the typical shuttle most would think would be used. Tortuga island is beautiful. Beach is a little rocky but not enough to ruin the experience. They have jet skis, banana boats, and volleyball at the island. Beach chairs to rent are cheap. The food options were just okay to me but I can be a little picky about food. If you’re in San Jose visiting and you want to have a day at the beach, I would recommend this tour.

A must booking - Great tour. Awesome guides excursion we’ve had in three trips to Costa Rica. Snorkeling was great. Weather was perfect. Beach was beautiful, dolphins, and local animals, dear in walking through the beach.

Snorkel in Costa Rica - Snorkeling was good due to experience. Misled about tour having to pay extra for snorkeling. Ad said it was included. Food was great!

Beautiful island with the... - Beautiful island with the option to participate in additional activities. Although the drive is long, stopping for breakfast was great! Worth the money.

Recommend! - We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Snorkeling was a highlight and the beach was nicely secluded and just gorgeous!

Incredible - The tour to the island was beautiful, we had a relatively clear day, the guide was super friendly, friendly and was attentive to the tourists all the time, the tour is 100% recommended, if you want to dedicate a day to resting on the beach With a cocoloco in your hand, this tour will go great for you

Good and bad - Was a good time, but other guests made us late and seemed to agitate the tour guide. Also very strict rules on the bus of no food or drinks and you could not board wet. This was especially confusing since it was an island and beach visit. Once you get to the island everything is pay to play ... meaning a visit to the bathroom will cost you 1 dollar per trip, and a beach chair will be 10 dollars. Otherwise the island was beautiful

Don’t do it - We were told to be at the hotel at 5. We were there but didn’t get picked up until almost 5:30. Then they over booked so they had us ride with a random driver who had no idea what was going on. That was pretty scary. We got to the island and were not told that we have to pay to use the bathroom to change so I changed on the boat with a towel covering me. They said told everyone on the bus but we were not on the bus. But I also was one of at least 7 people who changed on the boat so they didn’t tell everyone. The details say 45 minutes of snorkeling but they told us only 25 minutes which was the biggest reason I picked this activity! A girl did try to tell him that it is supposed to be 45 minutes and he told her she was mistaken and must’ve read it wrong. We didn’t get the drinks or the fruit offered. They told us lunch was under the pavilion with the red roofs at noon. We spent half an hour looking at the 7 roofs only to find late because they started super late. This was the most unorganized, embarrassing, and exhausting for no reason excursion I’ve ever been on.
