Southern Right Charters - Boat Based Whale Watching
The whale watching trip begins with an on-land briefing led by our whale specialist guide before heading down the jetty to our catamaran. We then set off from the Hermanus New Harbour in search of the ‘gentle giants.’ The purpose-built catamaran provides superior viewing and comfort and during the tour and the friendly, knowledgeable crew add that personal touch allowing for an all-round great experience. Our Whale Specialist guide will interpret the marine life encountered en route and provide insight into the behaviour of the whales while you are watching them in action. Our videographer will ensure that the best footage is captured.

Additional Information
- All ages welcome, children U/12 must wear a life jacket at al times which will be provided

- Sea sick tablets should be taken in advance as per packet instructions (if necessary)

Amazing - Amazing Tour! We where lucky enough to see plenty of whales ( August it's the right month)
Very serious and competent company, everything was over my expectations...

Very good - From check in till the time you get off the boat it is a great experience ,
Very comfortable boat we saw two Southern right whales which was lucky
As next week is end off season.

Friendly, professional crew. Would recommend - I have travelled back from the UK to spend time with my dad as it was the first anniversary of my mums passing and my dads 79th birthday.
We arrived from Durban and on day one dad had a fall which made me sceptical about whether he could make the boat trip due to mobility issues. The staff were amazing with one staff member going out of her way to reassure me that he would be okay for the trip. The crew on board were super helpful and we got to see whales which was an absolute highlight, as we knew this was not guaranteed.

Breath-taking experience - This was an absolutely breath-taking experience and a must do when in the area!
The guides were very knowledgeable, they told us a lot of information before the trip, and answered all obscure question whilst out on the water, too. We found whales very soon after leaving the harbour and encountered both Humpbacks and Southern Right whales.
The boat had plenty of space to sit and move around, so we all could see well, regardless of which side of the boat the whales appeared.
The company was responsive and helpful during the booking process when we encountered some problems with the online payment. They undoubtedly went the extra mile for us, and we cannot be grateful enough.

Must do activity in Hermanus - Well organised and informative trip. Saw 4 whales close up ( two mothers with calves). Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Whale of a time - The excursion was wonderful 9 of us went out on the boat and saw many whales the crew was very professional and knew where to find whales.

Great trip - Brilliant trip with an extremely knowledgeable guide. We were also extremely lucky to go in on a good day with minimal swell as it is pretty rough out in the bay.

Good! Dolphins but no whales - The overall experience was very good and to see so many dolphins was remarkable but such a shame that we didn’t see any whales on our trip
