Mother nature at its best! - Crystal Blue Ice Caves were amazing!! Tour was on time, driver/guide was great! Every year the ice caves change locations on the glacier, depending on where Mother Nature chooses to create them. Such a memorable experience. We did two tours with TROLL (other was at the Silfra Fissure Snorkleing), both were great! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Tour and Guide - Johan was a fabulous guide! I had a great deal of difficulty getting across the glacier and through the caves. I thought about turning back and waiting on the bus, but Johan walked me through every step of the way. It was well worth it for the stunning views!

Awesome adventure. - Our Guide was awesome, friendly, very knowledgeable and very pleasant. His knowledge of the area and the glacier was awesome.

Johan The Tour Genius - Scientifically intriguing and illuminating with a wonderful, professional, and goofy loving guide Johan who was all too eager to play with us lol, the experience was taken to a whole new level. Regardless, the profound knowledge we learned alongside the enjoyment of a rollercoaster of a bumpy ride on the trail to the cave, walking on the surface of the cave, and then finally being led through an ice cave made the experience a huge highlight for our trip. One of our favorite things.

High recommended! - It's easy to find the meet point. The tour guide was really nice and took a few family pictures for us. Though I wish the time spent in the cave could be a little longer, the cave is really amazing!

Amazing experience - Amazing experience! One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. We had a great guide, kind and patient, no rush in the cave, we had enough time to take a picture and enjoy the view. The road to the glacier was so fun! Definitely recommend!

Great tour! - Beautiful spot with amazing ice cave formations that are truly something you can only see once in a lifetime. Bus ride was overall smooth and we did not feel at all in any danger during this tour.

Great but expensive - The cave was beautiful and the drive out was fun. Our tour guide Kristian was knowledgeable. The tour was about 2 hours long and for about $190USD (26,000 ISK) per person the tour was short and not super spectacular.

Very bad customer service - Unfortunately we had very bad experience with Tröll Expeditions. On our arrival day we lost my luggage with the shoes I was supposed to wear on the Ice Cave excursion. The trip was planned for the next day at 13.00. As soon as I found out about the lost suitcase I wrote an email to the company to ask if another pair of boots I had can be fine. This was at 12.50 of the day before the trip. They said absolutely not, and we started an email conversation regarding the possibility to rent a proper pair. As they do not have a rental service at 13.35, I ask to cancel the booking. They refuse my cancellation request saying that I was out of their 24 hours cancellation policy. We were writing each other for almost an hour!!! How can I join the trip if I don’t have the correct shoes? This is what we are talking about from 12.50! At this point they wrote me that they checked again, and the local guide said that my shoes was fine and reassured on fact the I can enjoy the trip. At this point I was confused and doubting on their intention. Even more because the weather was very bad, we were in a snowstorm and indeed the next morning we didn’t make on time for the trip even if were 100km far from the meeting point. I can understand that a company has a cancellation policy, but they can also be more flexible in particular cases like mine. I’m complaining because I lost 300€ asking for a cancellation due an unexpected event and while I was actually on schedule to do so.
