We have lived and worked here for generations and really love it. We would like to offer you a different kind of experience, to show you the authentic and unique daily life of the local fishing and farming communities of this village.\n\nJoin us and you will have a chance to take part in some hands-on activities and local practices that are fun, safe and interesting to people all of ages.\n\nYou will have a real connection with some local people, their culture, the landscape,the food and the environment, help you to understand more about Vietnamese rural culture and enrich your trip experience.\n\nWe want you to feel a little like you really live here for a short while. The typical calm and peace of the countryside life will take you far away from the hustle and bustle of city life,and you can enjoy daily life much as a native does.\n\nWe call this travelling LIKE A LOCAL!

At 8:30 AM (or 1:30 PM ), your tour guides will meet you at your hotel and the tour will commence with a bike ride through the pastoral landscapes.

By 9:00AM, you’ll reach Tra Que Vegetable Village. Here, you will be briefed about the village’s history and a local farmer will instruct you on the correct way to cultivate herbs and care for plants. You’ll immerse yourself in various agricultural activities such as raking, sowing, and harvesting fresh vegetables.

The next stop on your itinerary at 10 AM is the fishing village, where you’ll get an opportunity to partake in an unusual basket boat ride steered by locals.

By 11:00AM, continue the cycling tour towards my house, where you’ll acquaint yourself with the traditional Vietnamese process of making white rice. You’ll learn this ancient technique with some old-fashioned hand machines:
Taking part in a brief class on rice pancake cooking, led by my wife, is next on the agenda. Then, savor a lunch made up of our village’s traditional delicacies.
The tour is expected to wrap up around 12 PM or 1 PM, at which point you’ll cycle back to your hotel.

Excellent cultural experience! - We had the most incredible time visiting the farm, planting veggies, cycling through town and then having a delicious lunch prepared by Mr. Hoang’s wife. Our kids got to make some appetizers with her and the meal was excellent. They learned how to harvest rice and the painstaking process it used to take. Excellent cultural experience!

Really amazing tour! - Great experience from start to finish! Really enjoyed every aspect of the tour, it was informative and the lunch we had was delicious. By far my favourite thing I have done in Hoi An so far ❤️
The demonstration of how rice was processed was particularly fascinating and it was fun to lend a hand!

An experience with authentic people who live the real Vietnam! - The experience was incredible! Very authentic and pleasant! The food in the end was divine and fun! It was raining that day and they made all the adaptations so that nothing was lost!

Hoi An cycling and farming tour - While it was a rainy day in Hoi A for our tour, it was still a memorable experience. In fact, it was even more of an adventure cycling through the streets of Hoi An and then into the surrounding countryside in the rain. We enjoyed learning about farming techniques and then had a fun basket boat ride. We ended at Mr Hoang’s house where he and his wife treated us to a wonderful traditional central Vietnamese lunch of rice milk pancakes, passion fruit chicken and steamed rice straight from their own garden. Great day with great hosts! We would all highly recommend.

Great rural experience! - We have gone for a bike ride and we have grown spinach explaining ourselves and doing it ourselves, we have also tried fishing with different types of nets but on this occasion there has been no luck. We have also been in a family home learning how to process rice and doing a cooking workshop that was all very delicious. It's still great!

Nature and food tour in Hanoi. - It has been a very personal tour, without tourism (except the baskets), but everything has been great. Planting vegetables, riding a bike, fishing for crabs and the cooking class and eating what is cooked.
The family and our guide were very hospitable and friendly.
We have been very comfortable. It is a pleasure to do activities like this with people like this.
