Highlights

Day 1: Ha Giang – Yen Minh – Tham Ma pass - H’mong King palace - Dong Van

Quan Ba Heaven Gate - The tour kicks off at 8:30 am from Ha Giang city, either at our office or a designated meeting point. Our guide will provide a brief overview of the itinerary before you embark on your adventure.

On the first day, our Ha Giang Easy Riders Team driver will guide you through some of the most stunning scenery, featuring spectacular landscapes and breathtaking views. As you ascend into the mountains and navigate the winding roads, you’ll reach Pac Sung Pass, which stands over 1000 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll notice a significant drop in temperature. Take a break to enjoy the panoramic view from Pac Sung Pass, capture some photos, and perhaps savor a coffee at the top. Afterward, continue your journey to Heaven Gate. After a 20-minute ride, you’ll arrive at Heaven Gate, where you’ll be treated to a magnificent landscape, including a vast valley, villages nestled deep within, and impressive limestone mountain ranges. This is a perfect spot for photos.

Yen Minh - After soaking in the views from Heaven Gate, hop back on your motorbike and head towards Tam Son Town to see the famous Twin Mountains. Next, visit Nam Dam village, home to the Dao minority. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about local cultures and see traditional clay houses. After exploring Nam Dam village, our team will take you through backroads offering stunning views, then continue to Trang Kim valley and ascend Can Ty Pass, which reaches an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level. Stop at the viewpoint to admire the scenery, including rocky mountains, rivers, and villages. Although you’ll be tempted to stay, there’s much more to see. Continue to Yen Minh for lunch at a local restaurant with a fantastic view of terraced rice paddies and enjoy some local cuisine.

Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - After lunch, head to the central Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, a significant geoheritage site in Vietnam. You’ll encounter numerous terraced rice fields, limestone rocks, and hidden villages in the valley. Witness rural north Vietnamese countryside life as people work the land. Ascend Tham Ma Slope, a famous pass, and stop to enjoy the view and take photos for 15-20 minutes. Continue to Pho Cao and Lao Xa, with many beautiful stops along the way to admire the stunning views and mountains. In the late afternoon, visit the historical Hmong King Palace.

Dinh Vua Meo - Our team will guide you to the Hmong King Palace, located in the Sa Phin Valley. This palace, built in 1902, was the seat of power for two Hmong rulers who dominated the region. Learn about the history and stories of the Hmong people.

Dong Van - After visiting the Hmong King Palace, ride to Dong Van town for an overnight stay. After a 45-minute ride, check into a traditional house for a private room and relax until dinner. In the evening, explore the ancient town of Dong Van.

Day 2: Dong Van Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac Town – Du Gia Village

Ma Pi Leng Pass - After a delicious breakfast, leave Dong Van Town and head towards the most beautiful part of the journey, Ma Pi Leng Pass, located on the Happiness Road connecting Dong Van and Meo Vac. This legendary pass is known for its rugged cliffs and breathtaking views, often referred to as the “king” of passes in Vietnam. The road winds through cliffs and reaches an altitude of 2,000 meters. Ride down the Sky Path to admire the valley and Nho Que river, offering a 360° view. Capture unforgettable photos of Ma Pi Leng Pass and feel overwhelmed by the majestic mountains and rivers.

Meo Vac - After visiting Ma Pi Leng Pass and Nho Que river, continue through Meo Vac, where you’ll see incredible scenery and stop at the famous M road. Proceed through Duong Thuong valley, with many beautiful sights along the way. Stop for lunch in the small town of Mau Due at a local restaurant and relax before continuing the journey.

Du Gia - After lunch, continue to more remote villages. Drive through Lung Ho, stopping at viewpoints to see terraced rice paddies. Navigate the mountainous trails of Ha Giang province to Du Gia Village, home to seven ethnic minorities. Explore the colorful village and its rich culture, visit a waterfall, and enjoy a swim. Spend the night at a homestay with a Tay Minority Family in a private room, enjoying dinner and “happy water” with the family.

Day 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley -lung Tam Valley- Ha Giang City

Ha Giang Province - After breakfast, bid farewell to your homestay hosts and continue the journey. The last day promises more amazing natural landscapes. Head back to Ha Giang, but the attractions don’t end here. After two hours of driving, reach Quan Ba town and see Nui Do mountain, which some say resembles fairy breasts. Cross Sky Gate and return to Bac Sum Pass. After an adventurous ride, arrive back in Ha Giang in the afternoon, just in time to catch a bus or limousine back to Hanoi, or opt for a night bus depending on your schedule and plans after the tour.

Amazing trip! - This was a really an amazing trip with stunning views! We really recommend booking this tour because it is a small groupso we had more time to see everything. Our tour guide Zaj is a local who knows the area really well and you can see how much he cares about this place. The drivers were also amazibg and we felt really safe during the trip. I would strongly recommend bringing sun screen and and long sleeve clothes because you will probably burn otherwise. All in all we highly recommend this trip - one of our favourite experiences!

High quality shops are here. 134#JOJO - If you are looking for high quality and fluent English advice, you absolutely have to go to No. 134 Jojo. I made a suit and shirt here at JOJO and received it directly to my hotel. It fit very well, and she also helped us to make clothes in other stores and sent them to my hotel. The service was really good. So if you want to make custom clothes, I highly recommend JOJO's shop, they are really professional tailoring.

Safe drivers and Best Experience! - Excellent trip and would highly recommend. Best sight seeing in Vietnam. Our drivers and tour guide were flexible, generous, careful, and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond to make sure we were having the best experience possible. Extremely safe riders to travel with who planned our route around the weather and road conditions. I would use this company again and recommend to family and friends. My driver and tour guide Mr Thanh was exceptional. Luu (handsome guy), and Mr Son were also fantastic drivers and were exceptional at looking after our needs. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Bring your own toiletries, don't worry about rain gear, extra pair of shoes if you are traveling during raining season. Flip-flo - 5 stars for the overall tour, group leader Tong/Peter, and service. Drivers were very careful. We had mudslides, puddle roads, heavy rains, and sharp turns. Tong knew places when we asked for a massage in a town. Very kind with kids and respectful. 1 star for homestay accommodations. One of the places had a roach, plumbing issues, and tons of bugs. We were chewed. Wish there had a package option to upgrade to a bit more nicer accommodations. We don't mind a bit rustic, but this was like crashing in the cheapest roadside hostel. Vegan/vegetarian rest of my family will eat anything and everything. I'm a picky eater. Through the trip and at the homestay, they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Overall, as a family or a couple, we would do it again. The priceless memories we have created it will go on top of our family vacation. Thank you, Authentic and Tong, for everything.

Best 3 days of my life! - I had an unforgettable experience on my tour with Zaj. His knowledge of the area and its history was impressive, and he shared fascinating stories and insights that made the trip truly memorable. The views were stunning. The private rooms were amazing. I would definitely do the Ha Giang loop with this company again. Zaj was incredibly enthusiastic about his job and made sure I had a good experience as a solo traveler. I highly recommend this tour with Zaj and I can't wait I come back to Vietnam to do the loop all over again!

Awesome Ha Giang Loop Tour. Highlight of my Vietnam Tril - I went with 2 of my friends and our tour group was 4 people total (3 of us and one solo traveller). Our tour guide’s name was Zaj. Had a very pleasant experience overall. I’m not used to riding a motorcycle but felt safe riding with Zaj and the other drivers. The itinerary was the perfect amount of activities and rest time in my opinion. Had plenty of rest stops for breaks from riding the motorcycle, and rest time at the homestays at the end of the day. The tour group was accommodating and understanding with our dietary restrictions (vegetarian). I also appreciated the itineraries that were planned around avoiding crowded peak hours (for eg at the waterfall that got really crowded after we had left). Zaj’s english is really good and it was really easy to understand his instructions and explanations. As a local, he told us stories about his hometown and the areas we visited during the tour. He was polite and professional but also very friendly. The homestays chosen were clean and we had private rooms. Overall a great experience for our first time doing a backpacker’s activity. Highly recommend!

Thanks to Zaj and Team the absolute HIGHLIGHT of our Vietnam trip 🇻🇳💛 - ABSOLUTE HIGHLIGHT of my Vietnam trip! 👍🏻 Was so well taken care of by Zaj’s team, and my driver Huong. 💛 The team was well coordinated and drove the windy roads with safety and caution at the forefront. My driver especially took great care to slow down at turns (there were so many, trust me) and especially navigate the smoothest paths in the bumpy roads. With Zaj leading the tour, it was an amazing and informative experience, we learnt and witnessed so much of the local Hmong culture. Zaj is also a Hmong local himself, and was able to share candidly with us about Hmong history and many fun facts not just about the people but also the region and life in the Ha Giang countryside. My group and I had the best time and I would highly recommend you come on this trip, even more so to request for Zaj’s team! They were the best and made us feel safe, comfortable and at ease to enjoy the trip even in the countryside where no one else spoke a word of English. I really enjoyed the company and lovely conversations we had along the way, thank you Zaj and team! 🙏🏻💛🇻🇳

Top tour, great drivers and guide - It was a great trip! The easyriders ensure that you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings! There are also regular stops to see the highlights or to relax. Homestays and the food is fine. What makes the tour especially successful are the drivers and the guide. Linh was a very nice guide, she made videos and created atmosphere! Zaj was a good guide, could tell a lot about the history and culture as a local. And my driver Luhan was very skilful and made sure he took me safely everywhere! I can recommend this tour to everyone, also because the group is not too big, it is nice.
