In addition to visiting popular sites in Hiroshima, we will also explore some local spots related to the bombing event that only locals know about.

Fun morning followed by heart-wrenching afternoon. Yuta was knowledgeable with wonderful English! - One of the best tour guides I've ever had. I've visited 7 continents so I am a seasoned traveler. Yuta's coordination was terrific. Three of us came down from Kyoto for the day and he met us exactly where he said he would be with his white board. We started our new friendship with introductions and a walk to the ferry to head to Miyajima to see the Itsukushima Shrine, many deer, oysters oysters and more oysters, fun drinks and snacks, a Japanese wedding, and a five storied pagoda and much more. After a great morning of unhurried sightseeing, we headed back to Hiroshima, had a nice Japanese lunch with Yuta and then caught the train to the Peace Memorial Park and gardens. We asked many questions about how the Japanese feel about Americans after the bombing. The day had started out sunny and beautiful, but by the time we were at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, it had begun to rain. It actually seemed fitting for the day. Somber. Yuta showed us where to start in the museum, and where to meet him after an hour. He said that many Japanese had not wanted to give their remaining mementos from the blast to the museum, but when they saw it in the beginning, they were touched and donated many things for displays. It was very moving, and I found the artwork to be the most touching. Yuta and I shared some thoughts on peace and war, and he shared words from a 90 year old friend who said the way to end war is to make friends, just keep making friends. I consider Yuta my friend now. We finished the day seeing the remaining statues, and finally the only remaining building from the bomb blast. Yuta got us back to the Shinkansen train back to Kyoto with plenty of time to grab a snack for the 1 1/2 hour train ride back to Kyoto.

Fantastic day with Yuta in Hiroshima - We had an awesome day with Yuta traveling in Hiroshima. We were three people - my husband and me, and our twelve year old son. Everything about the day was easy and exactly customized to what we wanted. We traveled in from Kyoto that morning and headed back to Tokyo that night (!) and Yuta met us at the station without any issues, helped us figure out luggage storage and got us set off again at night. We visited all the sites we wanted to see in and around Hiroshima, got great pictures and learned a lot from our guide. We did everything at a pace and ease that we could never have done if we’d done it by ourselves or done a larger group. We also have dietary restrictions, and Yuta was able to take us to a tiny local restaurant where we would never have otherwise been able to figure out the menu, and ordered for us all. Yuta’s English was fantastic, as was his knowledge of the city, and he was super kind and engaging with our son. All in all, a great day and highly recommended.

History and Food All in One Tour! - Yuta-san was the best tour guide we could have asked for! My husband had a laundry list of places he wanted to see in Hiroshima and Yuta made it happen. He also let me deviate so I could try Miyajima street food I smelled along the way. He gave us a bit of a foodie tour too so both my husband and I were happy. I would highly recommend him as a guide and cannot thank him enough for our day!

Great day around Hiroshima with Yuta - We had a great day with Yuta. He was prompt at pickup, he had a warm personality, his communication was great, and he made the whole day really interesting with his knowledge of the history of the sites around Hiroshima and associated stories. He was very thoughtful to our needs and even brought his own special brewed coffee and snacks to keep us going. We thouroughly enjoyed our day and would recommend the tour to others.

Fantastic friendly guide in Hiroshima!! - Yuta was such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. He told us so much about the history and culture of the area in both Hiroshima and at Miyajima island. For lunch we had one of the local delicacies, okonomiyaki, which was so delicious and so much fun to watch being made!! I really enjoyed the ferry ride to Miyajima island and watching the big red gate get closer as we arrived! There were soooo many deer on the island too!! Yuta made sure we made it back to the hotel safely after the tour as well, which was greatly appreciated!! I would definitely recommend taking a tour in this area with him if you have a chance!!! It's like spending the day with a local friend!!

Great experience, greatly recommend - Everything was wonderful. From beginning to end Yuta gave us interesting information about the places we visited. He allowed us to choose what places we wanted to see the most and took us there. It was clear he knew what he was talking about. After the tour in the museum we were very touched by the contents of the exhibition, but Yuta was quick to raise the mood naturally and make us all comfortable. On the way to Miyajima, I had a great casual conversation with him which I really enjoyed. On the way there, we met a couple of people who Yuta knew, and all of them gave us great referce of Yuta. In addition, my dad has a disability and uses a cane. Yuta helped us getting wheelchairs and helped carrying him to as well. I would recommend his tours to anyone!

The best experience - -Miyajima Miyajima can be reached from Hiroshima less than an hour by train (or car) and ferry. It has enough space to you to seat and enjoy the view. When you arrive there, you are welcomed by deers. They are super cute but be careful with your belongings because they might like it. Itsukushima shrine is beautiful and mystical. I felt like the time stop there. You can feel the peace and calmness. If your schedule is not tight, I recommend you to visit there twice at the low and high tide to see the difference. -Hiroshima city You can reach most of the tourist points by train a.k.a “Hiroden”. All the places have signs describing in details the history. My favorite point is Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. There is a lot of information and there are some pictures you may want to turn away but you must see it. In my opinion, all people should go there. I could learn more in 1 day than years at school. -Yuta He is the nicest person and will try to answer all your questions. He will not rush you and let you take all the pictures you want! He is the best. Thank you Yuta!
