Additional Information

Journeying to Poon Hill, a prominent and straightforward trek in the Annapurna region, is highly recommended for novice trekkers. Often described as the truncated version of the Annapurna circuit trek, it presents an opportunity to explore the foothills of Annapurna to the Ghorepani viewpoint. This route offers unparalleled accommodation options compared to other trekking paths in Nepal, as well as breathtaking mountain views. It threads through picturesque villages predominantly settled by the Gurung community and dense rhododendron forests teeming with diverse birdlife. Starting from the Modi Khola River, an hour’s drive from Pokhara, the trek is renowned for the spectacular sunrise at Poon Hill. It’s also referred to as the Annapurna sunrise view trek owing to this reason.

  • Trekking to Poon Hill from Pokhara can be performed throughout the year. We do not suggest to trek in monsoon season. Mountain are not clearly visible on this season. Walking on the trials is also very difficult at this time. But if you are experienced enough to walk at hilly regions during rain you can choose this trek on monsoon also.

unexpected wonderful trip - The guides are professional, nice and caring so they make me feel safe and determined during trekking. When I was the last person in the team, there always was a guide companying me and paying attention to my physical situation and me attitude. They encouraged me and helped with my difficulties. The guides gave us a briefing every night during trekking, meanwhile, they answered our questions with patience and smile. It made me feel more control of next day's trekking. The scenery of the whole way is purely beautiful. It freed me of pressure of life. The whole trip is well-planed and fruitful. We spent four days in the mountains and we experienced paragliding and cultural exploring. I love this trip. SAY THANKS AGAIN!

Wonderful experience! - The trekking route of Poonhill is in fact quite challenging for beginners. Thankfully, our professional guide team has made it possible for us. Their patience, kindness and caring heart left me a really good impression of Nepal, given that it is my very first time visiting this country. The sunrise view is something you definitely don’t want to miss if you are planning a trekking trip!

POON hill trekking - I went for the POON Hill Trekking which is rather easier just to experience what trekking is and the ciltures in Nepal. This route is shortr, but enough to push your limits and train yourself, suitable for beginners and those who have little confidence in themselves. After the trekking, I experienced paragliding in Pokhara, my first time to try extreme sports. Though sounds terrifying, views high above made me calm down and totally enjoy the process. You will never wanna lose the chance! Highly recommend to try this route if you are not an expert in trekking. Besides, good memories and wonderful experiences are all thanks to Jiban, Tony etc. Their patience and kind heart moved my teammates and me, hereby wish them the best. Hope to see all you guys again!!!!

A great trip with the great team - They are very reliable, sweet and take good care of us with patience. I'm just a clamping beginner from HongKong, it's hard for me to clamp the hill, but I had a great experience because of these guys. When I felt very tired and walked slowly, I can't not caught up with my peers, one of them would stay behide to wait for me and walked slowly with me, of course take care of me in the same time. When I walking in some dangerous places that I was afraid to go, they would pull me. We asked them any questions, they would answer with patience and always had smiles. I had altitude sickness when I arrived 2800m because of I never do sport and very weak, but I overcome it with their help. Besides, I also had some happy memories with them, such as they give me a name called “Kanchhi”. And lots of other moments made me feel they are so great. The views are very beautiful and unique! I had read a book about Nepal's hills, but it's a different feel to see the real views. It will become a memory that I will never forget. Although it was very cold and little hard, but it is worthy. Also, they had a photographer to take beautiful photos of us. And the food, the tea house were good too. I feel extremely happy with this trip and feel grateful to the team for bringing me up to the mountaintop, I can't do that without them. I love this team. They deserve to be believed.

Great trip in Nepal - It's an amazing trip of trekking for 4 days and having a chance to try bungee and paragliding. During the 4-day trekking, I saw extremely beautiful views and I'm so glad that the local people are so friendly and enthusiastic. Jiban and the organisation planned and prepared the trip well. I was satisfied with the place we lived and the food we ate. The local food are so nice, mountain bread, mo-mo, chicken curry with rice... The most memorable thing is the snow! Although it made the road slippery, I really appreciate it for making the roads fancy. The bonfire at night was also fascinating. We had barbecue and danced together with music. Thanks for preparing all these!! Besides, riding pony is so unforgettable as well haha! Maybe you can add this in the plan (the price is high though

Great trip! - This was my first time to Nepal and first time trekking. I had an amazing time! Jiban coordinated everything perfectly and he kept me updated along the way. My guide Bishow was fantastic! He had the best spots picked out for lodging and food. He was very knowledgeable about the trek and went at my pace. I highly recommended booking with them! -Hillary
