Highlights
  • Cu Chi Tunnels - We’ll pick you up at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel in the early morning, and you’ll travel with your English-speaking guide to the Cu Chi tunnels. The drive is around 60 km.

At Cu Chi, you’ll be shown a documentary film about the tunnels and learn how the locals made bamboo traps, rice paper, and rice wine. You’ll then have the opportunity to explore the web of underground tunnels dug by Vietnamese resistance fighters.

  • My Tho - After exploring the tunnels, we’ll drive to My Tho. This is one of the provinces that comprise the Mekong Delta area. We’ll cruise by boat along the upper Mekong through a region with islands named after 4 animals that appear in Buddhist writings

We’ll then take you on a trip by rowboat along the small waterways. You’ll see the agricultural richness of the delta region in its fruit orchards, coconut groves, and bee-keeping farms. We’ll stop so you can enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruit, fresh coconut candy, and southern Vietnamese folk music.

The trip was the perfect pace, great level of historical information, banter, personal story sharing and quiet time. The trip was exactly as described and did not disappoint. Highly reccommended tour - This full day tour was very content and exciting, the most important sights were done in one day. Our guide, Kevin was great! Very informative, kind and funny with very good knowledge of the history of Vietnam. Everything was very well organized and also we were fed with lots of food, snacks and refreshments, tried several local products during the day. We had a chance to buy some of those also, which are very authentics gifts as a souvenir even. I definitely recommend Kevin and this tour. Amazing service! Thank you;)

Great day away from the city - very educational & informative - Great tour if you want to experience the tunnels and then move to the riverside for something completely different. Initially we stopped at a hand crafted workshop for people who have suffered physical effects from Agent Orange (often inherited from parents) Their workmanship was amazing and the finished products spoke for themselves. Our guide Jen was lovely - very bubbly personality and really knowledgeable which mean our visit to the tunnels was full of relevant information. Got a chance to go down the tunnels (scary and way too small) as well as to shoot the guns (AK47 / M16 - note extra cost) The Mekong Delta was also an insight into the basic lives many people still lead on Unicorn Island particularly - living off the land - especially from the fruits which we tasted. Great to see how the farmers have diversified to embrace tourism. Also tasted fresh honey before boating on the Mekong Delta - was well worthwhile - seeing so many fruits in their natural environment was special. We had a great day and would happily recommend to others

Great day out - We had a great time on the Cu chi tunnels and Mekong Delta private tour. Jen was a great guide and knowledgeable about the history. Our driver took us around smoothly and safely. We first stopped at center where handicap Vietnamese handmade goods. There is a shop where you can purchase some of them. There is a stand where you can purchase fruit and drinks. Also, there was a rest room. We then headed to the tunnels. It’s quite the experience. We had a full tour and had the opportunity to go in and out of several tunnels. After this we drove to the Mekong rest stop for lunch. We requested no seafood in advance and they honored it. Please be aware drinks are not included so you will have to pay for them. The lunch was good overall as it included several items such as spring rolls, sticky rice, miso soup, pork skewers, chicken, fruit platter, etc. Everything was tasty. From there we went on a boat across the delta. We walked to tables where they served us some tropical fruit (jack fruit, pomelo, mango, pineapple, and watermelon). The local folks sang several songs and we left a tip in their tip jar. You then go to a bee farm. They sell their local honey and other items. After that, we took a ride down the delta on a canoe. It was very relaxing. We went to see the coconut candy making process then headed back across the delta on the larger boat. From there we drove back to our hotel. Thanks Jen!

Great tours! - What a tour! Our guide, Max, and driver, Mr Lucky, were absolutely amazing. We got to learn so much about life in the tunnels and bunkers of Cu Chi, then heard about the history and life on the Mekong. Max is fantastic guide and Mr Lucky handled the massive Saigon traffic with ease. Book it!

Exciting & exciting Cu Chi Tunnel tour and beautiful and versatile Mekong Delta tour - We spent half a day visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and a full day in the Mekong Delta. We booked Eddie, our guide, twice. He was very friendly, attentive, & professional. His English was fantastic. There are rarely people who can explain things as well and are clear and understandable in their pronunciation as Eddie. We can highly recommend him.

Yay Vietnam! - We had a great time on the tour. There was lots packed in throughout the day. Although there is quite a bit of time in the car, that is expected as you get to go to the tunnels and Mekong! We had Kevin as our guide and he was very knowledgable and funny. Also great getting picked up and dropped off at hotel. Would recommend!
