During the American/Vietnam War, the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a fire free zone and was heavily bombarded. Since 1988, two sections of the tunnels have been open for visitors

Tour Vietnam with the best - Little Vietnam Tours - I have been to Vietnam 6 times and my last trip organised by Little Vietnam Tours was by far the best. Everything worked like clockwork, excellent itinerary, excellent guides who went out of their way to arrange additional sights. Accomodation although generally 3.5 star was much more than I expected, friendly, helpfull staff and and first class meals. The overnight trip to Halong Bay was as good as it gets. My special thanks to the tour organiser Vicky.
