Leaving Saigon at 07 AM for Mekong Delta. It takes about 1, 5 hours to peaceful Mekong countryside where we start biking to explore this idyllic landscapes.

Bicycle through many colorful Dragon fruit orchards, passing beautiful and green paddy fields. Stop at local restaurant for lunch. Afternoon, we will have around 2hrs for riding into the countryside trail to Caibe town ship where we board on local boat to Binh Hoa Phuoc Island for our first night. Over night at local home stay.

Cycling distance: 30 - 40km
Road conditions: quiet countryside path, villages, wet market.

  • Tra Vinh Province - Day 2: Vinh Long – Tra vinh (B, L, D)

Having breakfast at the home stay. Today, we start riding on 4 islands to observe daily life of the locals. Arriving in Cholach township at noon time for lunch.Spend time here learning how the locals planting and caring bonzai trees which makes this place famous for ornamental.

Then, we will have long distance for biking along Co Chien River, one of branch of Mekong river. arrive Tra vinh in the late afternoon. Overnight at local homestay in Tra Vinh.

Cycling distance: 50 -60km

  • Can Tho Market - Day 3: Travinh - Cantho city. ( B/L/D)

Tra Vinh is the homeland of Khmer minority (Cambodian) where most of them follow original Buddhism (Theravada). Take a time to see some pagodas in this town are sound interesting.

Then we have a long distance for cycling this day to enjoy the most beautiful country road in the Delta with rice fields both your side. Overnight in Cantho city.

Cycling distance: 70 – 90km

  • Can Tho Market - Day 4: Cantho - Saigon. ( B/L)

An early start by boat to see the biggest Floating Market in Mekong Where traders and farmers sell and buy all seasonal fruits which create the unique picture and culture in the Delta.

Take off the boat for more cycling on a peaceful village road to enjoy Delta scenery.

Head back to Saigon I the late afternoon. End of tour.

Beautiful food, scenery and routes - a cycling experience - An absolutely amazing experience despite a price tag. Despite being Vietnamese myself and an avid cyclist, Bao's personalised tour was an absolute delight that showed me parts of the country I have never before seen that also pushed me physically. One of the highlights of the trip was Bao's intimate knowledge of the surrounding area that allowed him to spontaneously create routes that were both challenging whilst also allowing me to soak up the local scenery. His photography was also amazing! Bao was very professional throughout the tour and was very accomodating to the diverse needs and requirements of the tour group. Bao certainly went the extra mile to ensure that everyone was comfortable and enojoying themselves and he made a genuine effort to connect with people within the tour group. Chau was a very professional driver that was friendly and accomodating. There were many times where unexpected pit stops were needed and Chau was very polite and professional in accomodating unexpected stops. The bikes were serviceable, future tour groups may benefit from spending more time have bikes personally fitted.

Brilliant trip - It was quite an experience. I went with my 13 year old daughter and we loved it. The cycling was hot and sweaty but we saw a part of Vietnam life that we would never have seen. Bau was an amazing guide and explained a lot along the way and looked after us. His love of cycling and the country was clear! Would really recommend him and the driver.

4 day bike tour in the Mekong Delta!!! - We are a 53 and 58 year old, relatively active couple, who thought a bike trip would be fun. We peloton but hadn’t been on a road bike in over 20 years. What could go wrong? With Bao as our guide, not one thing!!!! He was funny, attentive, knowledgeable and caring. This trip was amazing because of our guide, Bao and our driver, Chao. We originally saw Vietnam through our own eyes but quickly started to see it through theirs. What a beautiful country we saw. We were challenged and we were rewarded. The sights were non-stop as was the delicious dishes of food!!! The people were friendly and a pleasure to meet ( with Bao translating). We cannot wait for our next trip with our new, favorite guide. Do not hesitate to take this tour. You’ll enjoy every minute once you start peddling.

Amazing experience. - We, my wife, daughter en me, have enjoyed ourselves a lot during the cycle trip through the Mekong Delta. Away from the crowds and an impression of the countryside. Also great thanks to our enthusiastic and friendly guide Bao, who showed us around and gave us a wonderful experience! He made sure there were enough stops along the way and provided us with a lot of information of the local way of life :-) We would definitely recommend this trip, amazing!

The most authentic way to explore a new country and culture - far away from the common tourist attractions. - Outstanding way to explore and experience the countryside, local villages and the Mekong Delta. I travelled with my two sons (age 11 and 16) and where lucky to have Chau as our personal tour-guide for 3 days. We bicycled the most amazing places, visited lots of fantastic local villages and markeds for food, drinks, candy, looking at local specialities, crocodiles, rice and fruitfarms. Got up early to sail into the Mekong to experience the most fantastic sunrise, helped cook our own dinner at local homestoy and lots more. I truly recommend to have Countryside Adventure to make a trip suited for your specific needs.
