Great tour guide , amazing trip - The guide was reasonably friendly and spoke English fluently, so if the traveler can only speak English, it will be a very meaningful trip. It was my first time touring Monkey Island and it was a very amazing experience. The food was so delicious that I ate twice. It was a very satisfying trip. Can gio tour was impressive. It was more fun because many people went there. Especially the Mangrove Forest was good. Our guide was kind and fun.Highly recommended

Great Can Gio Monkey Tour - Our guide, Duckie, was cheerful and informative and made sure we had a great time. There are a large amount of monkeys, a lot with babies and you can hand feed them which was a highlight for us. A wonderful lunch was also included at a peaceful beach location.

Great day trip to take - I really enjoyed this tour. It was nice getting to be with the wildlife and learning more about the Vietnam War along the way. Particularly enjoyed the final stop in Can Gio to enjoy some iced coffee at the beach. Kudos to Harry for being a great guide too. Anyone doing this tour should be warned, the monkeys will take any loose items on you

Amazing trip with amazing experience - One of the best trips I have been on!!! So lovely. We started out in a bus and went from HCMC to monkey island. Here we feed the monkeys, plates with them, visited the crocodiles ec. Then we went to this amazing beach and had some coffee and enjoyed the good weather and lovely beach. Afterwards we had a delicious lunch and went swimming in the pool. Then back to monkey island for the speed boat!!! This was so fun!! Learned about the war as well. Only negative thing is that it is over. Our guide Long was so sweet. Can only recommend.

It was the best choice I made during my Ho Chi Minh trip - Fantastic trip to see the mangroves and monkeys. David is a great tour guide- very knowledgeableI was promptly picked up by the guide and was driven in a van to Can Gio with other tourists. Our guide was friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. We first went to Monkey Island and forests. The walk to the army base was a good walking nto the mangrove with 1 way in and out. While the guide provided sufficient information on the places we're going, I felt alot of the information provided was a touch and go, I wished more time was spent explaining the various aspects of how soldiers spent a good 10 years living in the forest. it was well managed from the host, Peter for helping me get the bus driver to pick me up! Overall, the trip to Can Gio was an eye-opening experience to the mangroves of Ho Chi Minh and it was an interesting experience touring it! Super Thanks.

Great! - A short day trip worth experiencing, I think choosing to go on a tour is the most reasonable option because you can hear the tour guide talking about the landmarks on the trip. The tour guide Mr. Kevin speaks English very well - he is truly a friendly and kind person. They will announce and welcome us in District 1 - Ho Chi Minh. When we arrive at Dan Xay wharf, we will enjoy cool sugarcane juice. Quickly move to Can Gio to visit the long-tailed macaques, there are really too many designs here, they are quite naughty but also very friendly. There is also a crocodile farm here. I'm actually very afraid of crocodiles because they are so wild and disgusting. They have a crocodile feeding experience but I was scared so I didn't try it haha. One thing I really like about the trip is that we will be able to take a boat through the pristine mangrove forest to visit the Vietnamese base during the war. After that, we rested and had a delicious Vietnamese lunch. After dinner, everyone was free to rest and walk. At the end of the trip at 6pm, we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. It's wonderful and worth experiencing!

Very good - I really want to encourage those who want to experience a day trip to Can Gio on their own, why? Because it's great! Make new friends from many countries during the trip. The travel company will pick you up and pair you with other friends, then go on a trip to visit and have fun. We will soon be able to go to Monkey Island, where there are many long-tailed monkeys. They are friendly and likable to everyone. Next, everyone had the experience of visiting the crocodile farm, seeing them firsthand and feeding them - a quite new and dramatic experience. We were transported on a boat into the forest, with only the green color of the trees in front of us - so pleasant. Through the forests to reach the ancient Vietnamese base, the tour guide will analyze and tell some pretty good stories. It's time to stop for lunch and dine at a local restaurant with fresh and authentic Vietnamese food. Not stopping there, after lunch we were free to play and walk along Can Gio beach or go to the seafood market to visit and shop. Surely after reading this you already want to go, right? Please go because I see they are discounting! It's only around 6pm and we're back in Ho Chi Minh! Just one day but very wonderful and memorable!

Great guide but the rest is probably average - I first of all have to say we had a guide called Phil, he was brilliant, funny, charismatic and just lovely to be around, hence the 4 stars. The tour not so brilliant...Monkey island is good if you've not experienced monkeys before, they are in a natural environment, they are cheeky and cute and mischievous. The crocodile farm was underwhelming, with just a view deck, little information on them and not much else, though again we saw a few in their natural habitat, it just wasn't much of a "tour". The mangrove forest, unfortunately there is little to again report, I've done this in other countries where the mangroves look healthier and full of life, whilst here they all just felt a little sad. We had paid to have a boat back through the mangroves included but the guide had not been informed and we didn't want to pay extra for a boat ride so we had to walk the same 2k route back in high humidity 🥵 (currently awaiting a refund for this part of the tour). The lunch/food included was also not very good, it was a little bit sad again, felt like a ghost hotel and the beach was covered in litter. All in all, great guide but lacking in content.

Nice monkey island - Very nice park! We saw and fed several groups of monkeys who were not aggressive. On the other hand, we did not stop for sugar cane juice, we saw the crocodiles less and not from a boat like in the photos. We didn't see any bats either.

A tour guide and group either makes the experience or ruins it! - I’m sorry to possibly be the first low star review but this tour wasn’t all that. The other reviews do not reflect our experience. And a lot of the pics do not reflect what we saw either….. We had a chaperone NOT a tour guide. I kept walking over to another group where the tour guide was actually engaging, involving his group, giving informative talks about the areas etc. Our guy took us to a destination, walked off, sat to the side and said “go explore” see you at this time. It’s like he didn’t care. He wasn’t the kind of a tour guide like we’ve been used to traveling Vietman and Cambodia. Another thing was, our group was a very old group. We’re two lads in our mid thirties. Our guide went to the pace of the 60yr / 70yrs olds. They practically skipped the monkeys and went straight back to the bus because they were scared or tired. Therefore our guide was rushing us to get back to the bus so they weren’t waiting long. We didn’t have any real good amount of time with the monkeys or crocs. To go 2hrs 30mins to get there and be there for such a small amount of time was extremely disappointing. The other tour guides group (I kept going over to) was getting his group involved, was fun, had the monkeys climbing all over his group. There was laughter. There was enjoyment. Because of him I was able to get some amazing pics with the monkeys. I’m thankful to that guy! Again being with an old group it’s also like they had precedence over all choices made on this trip. Which in turn ruined our experience because the 60 / 70 year olds wanted to sit more than explore. We were at a restaurant (after lunch had been consumed) sitting around doing absolutely nothing, longer than being at the island….. It was as if we didn’t pay the same amount to be there because our time/ experience wasn’t considered like the older folks were. Overall, the monkeys climbing on you was worth it. A tour guide either makes the experience or ruins it. After lunch the coffee stop was pointless, we just had lunch with tea and juices. The beach in front of coffee shop was dirty and full of trash. Just a bit of a super disappointing experience for 4hrs / 5hrs total of bus traveling to and from. Note to self - pay a little extra for private tours. You never know the type of group you’ll be with and the guide will be way more engaging and informative!
