Definitely a good tour - The guide is amazing. Hosted us at his relatives houses. The home cooked Vietnamese food was the best meal we had in Vietnam. The tour guide was really good

Beautiful and eventful trip off the beaten path - 10/10 - We had an amazing time on our tour with David! This tour fulfills all of its promises and takes you through off the beaten path regions of the Mekong delta where you see the nature and how people live without the hustle and bustle of other tourists and buses. David did a great job of sharing the details and insights of the places we visited but also the history of the region. He answered all our questions and gave us some helpful tips for the next couple days in HCMC. It was worth every penny and we would recommend this tour to anyone who is not a huge fan of mass tourism where buses full of tourists are shuttled around for a day. Wonderful tour with an excellent guide, they do what they promise! - During our visit to Ho Chi Minh we wanted to do a day tour to the Mekong Delta. We found many day trips but they all looked very touristy. Until we came across this tour. The price was a bit higher but it seemed promising. After much hesitation, I decided to book this one. However, it was Sunday and we wanted to go the next day. However, it was no problem and we received a very quick response via WhatsApp. The communication was very clear. The next day the driver Tom, together with the guide Jerry, was ready for our stay. We were immediately offered a bottle of water. We also hadn't had breakfast yet so we stopped by a local Bahn Mi shop and Jerry got us a delicious sandwich. All included in the price! The first stop was a local market where Jerry also bought us an iced coffee and iced tea. At the market he showed us and even tasted all kinds of local products. For example, he bought tasty fruits for dessert with lunch. He also bought us cookies and souvenirs, really great! Then we stopped at a church, which was very beautiful. The stop was nicely timed, not too short, not too long. Then came one of the highlights, we stopped at a local house that had nice goats. We took 2 scooters and jumped on the back of Jerry and the local man. We drove through the fields, climbed a 'monkey bridge', visited a dragon fruit nursery (where we were also allowed to taste and received a bottle of water). Then it was time for lunch. This was with local residents and wow, what an experience!! The food was delicious and the host couldn't stop serving local drinks from his extensive collection: from banana liqueur to snake wine. The welcome was very warm and the view breathtaking. After lunch it was an hour's drive to the Mekong Delta. A private boat was booked for us there, really wonderful! Then we switched to a small rowing boat and explored the small canals. At our end point we were picked up by a tuk tuk and it took us to the coconut candy factory. After this visit we got back on the private boat and were offered a delicious coconut. So, the day was over and the drive to Ho Chi Minh was less than 2 hours and very safe. It was a great day, everything was arranged down to the last detail by Jerry. Our vehicles were always ready and the pace was very relaxed. No rush and no other tourists. This tour is more than worth the money. Absolutely recommended!!

Mekong Delta Full Day - I looked at a lot of reviews of the main Mekong Delta tours and found that they were unauthentic tourist traps. After some research, I came across Mekong Delta Tours and reached out to Hien and booked this tour. His communication from the original contact up until the day of the tour was great, with him checking our food preferences and finding out what we wanted to get from the tour. On the day of the tour our guide, Jerry, arrived nice and early in a very comfortable minibus. He was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining and made us feel relaxed all through the trip. We were taken to a wet market, a Cao Dai temple, on scooters through Paddy fields and to a local family's home for lunch (sooooo much food, which was delicious). They will also serve you lots (or none if preferred) of their homemade wines. After that we went on a boat to Ben Tre District and on a Sampan Boat through the coconut trees, and on to a coconut candy factory. Would 100% recommend paying the extra for a real experience like this.

Great Mekong Delta tour without the crowds! - Back in 2018, my husband and I explored the Mekong Delta region with Real Mekong Delta Tours. We had such a great time so we decided to book another Mekong Delta tour with them again in 2024 when we visited Saigon with our friend. We reached out to Mr. Hien via email - he was quick to respond, very friendly, and helped us schedule our tour. The morning of our tour, Tri (our tour guide) picked us up right on time. He was very nice and personable, we loved spending the day with him and he taught us so much about the rich culture of the Mekong Delta area. We had a great time and loved the authenticity of the tour. For most of the tour, we didn’t see any other tourists, just locals going about their daily lives. We only saw other tourists when we went on the river cruise because there is only one port where the boats can depart. Even though this part was in the “touristy” area, we had our own boat and went down a different channel of the river where no one else was so it was very peaceful. Lunch was delicious and served in a local home where we were also able to try some homemade rice wines and fermented shrimp with Mr. Hien. From the home, we went on a scooter ride through the rice fields - the rice had turned a golden color and we were able to watch the locals harvesting the rice. We felt very safe on the back of the bikes and loved seeing the beautiful scenery along the ride. We were also able to taste the difference between pink and white dragonfruits at the dragonfruit farm, which also had some of the best corn I’ve ever tasted. These were some of the highlights of the tour for me, but we did much more and I loved every bit of it. I highly recommend this company if looking for a local and authentic experience in the Mekong Delta. It might seem expensive upfront but it is well worth the cost. We can’t wait to come back for a multi day tour with them.

Greatfull journey to dream from childhood - This tour has exceeded our expectations. We were able to touch rural side of Vietnam. Being from Nothern Europe everything caught by our eyes was exotic for us. We saw such a Vietnam that was in our vision since childhood times. Special thanks to Hien and his team, who arranged this incredible journey for us. Highly recommend to those who have limited stay in Ho Chi Minh. It's worth this money

Unforgettable experience - Our tour was tailored to our requirements depending our flight. We had a great time including an unforgettable Mekong cruise, a great lunch, knowledgeable guide and this in a private setting with no other tourists to be seen. Excellent Private Tour - We did the private tour of the Mekong delta snd river today. It was wonderful to be taken off the tourist track to see and learn about the rice paddies, have lunch and homemade wine with a lovely local family, visit turtle island and much more. The highlight for me waa definitely the Sampan ride in the canals. So peaceful. Our guide was flexible and accommodating. Would recommend this tour.

Special Mekong trip - Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful guide Đức on this Mekong delta tour. We had the two day trip. Highlights were buying from local vendors. Eating dragon fruit straight from the tree. Shots of medicinal wine with our lunch hosts. This trip is a great way to see the real Vietnam. We loved it. Be prepared for some long car journeys is the only negative. A great trip for families
