Great private tour with James! - Our private tour with James was really great. He was punctual and we had a comfortable SUV for the 2 hour ride. He chatted with us the whole way there which made the trip fly by. He is very interesting and gave just right level of information. He loves history and it shows! His English is really good too. We stopped at the lacquer shop in the way which we weren’t as interested in, so we made it a quick stop. We went in the afternoon (11am departure) so it wasn’t too crowded at the tunnels. I think most large tours go in the morning. The Cu Chi tunnels tour was really interesting. I highly recommend this tour and request James if you can!

Great guide and fascinating tour - Excellent tour and Binh (Ben) was very accommodating to our very late request. He is a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, answered all our questions and is just a great guy to chat with. The tour was private and we managed to avoid the tour buses so almost had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed our tour so much we booked another one the next day. Would thoroughly recommend both the tour and Ben as as guide😀

Amazing experience with a local legend - Binh was the best tour guide I’ve ever had, fluent English and so easy to get along with. Nothing was too much trouble, he was super flexible and knew his way around beating the crowds! Absolute legend and will be hitting him up if I am ever in Saigon again. Stop looking for a tour guide and book Binh in, you won’t regret it.

Fun and informative guide ☺️☺️ - Ben is such a great guide and all round lovely person to spend the day with. We went to the tunnels and he explained the history and it was amazing having a 1to1 guide. On the journey he taught me some Vietnamese and explained everything we went past. Including the random funeral processions. He answered all my random questions and persisted when I couldn't pronounce anything Vietnamese. I highly recommend Ben for a fun informative day.

Amazing and Fun Your of Cu Chi Tunnels - We had such an amazing and great time on this private motor-car tour with Our Tour Guide TB who I call The G.O.A.T. and the Driver Mr. Tu. The Tour Operator Binh was very responsive and accommodating in making all the arrangements for the tour at a reasonable price. They picked us up promptly from our condo for the half-day tour which was convenient and more personalized than taking larger tour group. About half-way we stopped for a break at a lacquered art making studio and store that employs artists who were affected and disabled when they were young by the Agent Orange toxins that were sprayed on the Vietnamese people by the American military during the war. Despite their disabilities, the art work that these artisans create is so intricate and beautiful, while 60% of all sales goes towards their care which is 🥹. Make sure to purchase one of the incredible mother of pearl inlaid pieces for such a good price for a great cause. A short ride later we reached the Cu Chin Tunnel tourist center. The facilities are next to the river and well laid out with a restaurant and gift shop. After a short introductory video, TB took us on the walking tour all the while explaining the history and background of the tunnels and the political and social insights as to how and why the brave and ingenious townspeople of this region created such an extensive yet effective and simple way to not only survive, but defeat the enemy despite the the constant bombing and air raids on their villages. TB is so knowledgeable and friendly as well as entertaining while he guided us on the tour. The tour has some hands-on experiences like testing your aptitude in helping to make sandals out of used military tires (make sure to wear them backwards if trying to confuse the enemy! 🤣). There is also a display of the various creative but deadly booby traps that were used against the enemy 😱 My Mother set the record for oldest Tourist (80) that was able to make it through a portion of the vast underground tunnel network by herself. TB was there every step of the way to help and ensure her safety and comfort. My Son was able to go on the longest tunnel path and wow it was an experience for him. Note that the longer tunnel can get very cramped and tight in some places to the point of having to crawl so those who are more brave and enjoy spelunking will enjoy that adventure the best! 😅 The highlight for me was the on-sight gun range where we shot actual Vietnam-war vintage AK-47’s and M16’s that have been restored and maintained. Just outstanding. You pay by the bullet and after 20 rounds each, my Son and I were able to shoot 3 red bottle targets which entitles you to a free prize! Interestingly the M16 jammed once (which was typical of that weapon during the war), while the AK47 shot surprisingly accurate and flawlessly. (Note there is a Range Master and you are proved guidance and earmuffs for your safety). Make sure to ask TB about being able to fire the massive howitzer as well if you can afford the $$$$$ for the ordinance shell! 🤣 Overall one of the highlights of our visit to VN and one of the best, if not the best, tour that we went on. Thanks to Bing, to TB (truly The G.O.A.T.) and the swift but safe and comfortable driving od Mr. Tu. This is a tour you don’t want to miss.
