Bucket List Trip - Wow what an experience we had with Grayline. First Tim our guide he was just amazing, knowledgeable, funny, safe, nothing was a problem with this tour. Second we were taken on a surreal trip from start to finish. The history, the views and a sweet stop along the way. It was an inclusive tour so everyone got along really well as well. If the opportunity arises to travel here I wouldn’t hesitate in booking with Grayline Tours and would be a bonus if you got Tim as the guide.

A Must do when you are in Hobart - What a fantastic day, so easy to book, on time, and perfectly executed. Alan was outstanding, great commentary, awesome collection of Dad jokes, and made the day an absolute pleasure. We have done a lot of tours, and this one stands out! Thank You, made a great start to our holiday week!

Graves - Great tour enjoyed the cruise out to the island and our guide was full of stories as we walked around the island pointing out grave stones and telling us about the people

Brilliant Experience - Brilliant trip, stopping at Richmond first. Port Arthur is very historical as well as interesting. The Isle of the Dead add on trip is well worth a visit, which brings everything to life. For those that wanted to, we left Port Arthur a little earlier to visit the wonderful and local rock formations, and took fantastic photos. Chocolate shop stop on the way back seemed to keep everyone happy.

Very worthwhile trip - The driver of the bus, Colin, was excellent. Very informative and amusing. We had a full day of exploring the area including Port Arthur. Excellent value for money.

Excellent - This was a delightful tour on a beautiful day. We would recommend it as it covered the various areas we were interest (including the Isle of the Dead) in a very comprehensive way. The driver Colin was excellent. His humour and great source of information and made the day.

Great day out, bus company needs to fix the PA system so we could hear the driver's commentary. - I looked into the different companies running these day trips. We chose this one because it had a live commentary along the way explaining places of interest. Unfortunately all we could hear was static, the PA system was dreadful. The driver asked numerous times if we could hear him and the resounding reply was a very loud NO! Not driver's fault he did a great job and the day went perfectly. Would be a 5 but for that issue.

Not sure what I actually paid for? - This is sort of an odd and complicated experience to review. Essentially you're paying for an entry fee to Port Arthur and a round trip bus ride. Once you're dropped off at the historical site you're on your own. There really is no guided tour of the site unless you pay extra. The "complimentary" onsite guides are at random times and sites and you might be able to make only one or two of them if you visit the Isle of the Dead. The "chocolate factory" is just a chocolate store where you stop for 10 minutes. The bus driver was rather entertaining on the trip there but literally never stopped talking the 90 minute ride home. We ended up paying an extra $10 to get a tour of the historical site and I couldn't wait to get off the bus just for a moment of peace and quiet.
