Embark on a 9.5-hour journey to the UNESCO-listed Southwest National Park, offering wilderness, majestic lakes, and the imposing Gordon Dam. Your guide will be David, who has substantial knowledge obtained from his studies at the University of Tasmania and employment experience with the lake management entity.
The itinerary begins with a tranquil trek through untouched temperate rainforest. Followed by a drive to Teds Beach to appreciate the proximity of Lake Pedder. Then, enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Pedder and the surrounding mountains from the Lake Pedder Lookout. Subsequent to walking across Australia’s tallest dam (140m), we make our way towards the Knob Hill and Gordon Dam lookouts for a panoramic view.
Lastly, take pleasure in viewing stunning landscapes accompanied with narration on the drive to and from Hobart.
