- Peppermint Bay Day Cruises - A long-time favourite of locals, and ‘trip highlight’ for those that visit from afar, Peppermint Bay is best experienced as part of our Epicurean Cruise which departs from Brooke Street Pier in Hobart.
Departing Hobart at 10.30am, the journey inboard Peppermint Bay II (our fully enclosed, comfortable catamaran) takes an hour or so.
The Cruise down the picturesque d’Entrecasteaux channel on our 23m catamaran enables you to relax and enjoy some of Tasmania’s most spectacular scenery, pausing to view ancient rock formations and other points of interest long the way.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, you’ll be treated to a multi course menu in a spectacular waterfront location. Our chef’s source their ingredients from local makers and producers whenever possible, or from our very own produce garden.
Before reboarding our catamaran, there will be time for a drink on the lawns or a wander through our gardens. We’ll depart Peppermint Bay to have you arrive back in Hobart by 3.30pm.

The perfect day out for any occasion - We couldn't have wished for a nicer day. Beautiful clear blue sky, temperature a comfortable 20 degrees and calm waters. The cruise from Hobart to Peppermint Bay was fantastic with magnificent views along the Derwent River and along the d'Entrecasteaux Channel enjoying a couple of glasses of sparkling wine. The lunch at Peppermint Bay was outstanding. Delicious, plated beautifully and very generous servings. The staff were friendly, outgoing and all excellent. We saw a couple of seals on the way down but no dolphins or whales this time. When we arrived back in Hobart I realized to my horror that I'd left my glasses at the restaurant. I went to speak to the staff to get a contact number to ring only to discover the staff had spotted my glasses and brought them onto the boat and kept them safe until I came looking for them. A fortunate end to a perfect day

Just simply a great day out. - Brilliant day out on a 5hr cruise down the Channel, with a wonderful 3 course meal included at the Peppermint Bay Restaurant. The food was excellent and very generous serving sizes.

Must do when in hobart - Loved every moment of this cruise. Staff attentive and the cruise seats large and comfortable. Lunch was amazing, huge servings and a delightful setting.

A must do for couples and friends - A great way to spend a day , a cruise and a very nice lunch in an amazing restaurant.
At first glance this might seem a little expensive, but once experienced you will be extremely satisfied.
Full half day excursion, south from Hobart to Peppermint Bay , enjoying lunch looking towards Bruny Island. Along the way the captain points out some interesting natural wonders. The bait has a bar , tea and coffee .
The restaurant and the food are a surprise. A very good surprise. Highly recommended.

Fun luxury day out - what a treat. - First class service. Great, spacious, luxury boat (with great coffee on the way out and a bar on the way back!). Fascinating trip along the Derwent. Stunning venue, great food and wine. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Must do in Hobart - A great way to see Hobart from the bay. The boat is very comfortable & the huge windows make it very easy to see the sights. Peppermint Bay is a beautiful location to sit back & enjoy a delicious lunch with a truly great view. It's worth travelling to just for the meal & wine alone but the boat trip makes the day even more enjoyable!

Lunch and cruise - A 5 hour round trip cruise from hobart to peppermint bay restaurant. Very modern decor with great sea views from the restaurant. Set menu which was surprisingly good. Especially the 16 hour slowed cooked shoulder of lamb. Short opportunity to shop at the local craft shop (which had very reasonable prices). Then leisurely cruise back to hobart

Great Day Cruise and Lunch - What a way to spend a leisurely day in Hobart. We travelled down the Derwent River to Peppermint Bay where there was a great 4 course ready for us to enjoy. After lunch we strolled up to the village before getting back on board.
