Perfect - Great trip across with Captain John aka Curly! Very knowledgeable ..and punctual both to and from our hike. His deck hand Conor was great…such a happy outlook on life. The hike itself was beautiful.. easy if you’re used to hiking. I’d say a bit slick if rainy but we had a perfect day. Thanks again, Brigid & Jimmy

Great solo traveling experience! - The boat was clean, on time, and got us where we needed to go! Captain John, with the beard, was super friendly and helpful. I appreciated that I could book with Coldwater AK as a solo traveler, when other water taxi companies required a minimum party of 2 for booking reservations.

Epic Alaskan Hike - This hike always provides the "Wow" factor for summer guests to our area. I traditionally walk it every year with all ages. The signage is well done for first time walkers and the path well maintained. I always use Coldwater Alaska boat taxi. This summer Capt. Zach and boat hand, Conner, provided a fast, comfortable, safe ride. It is nice to have the choice of riding inside the cabin or outside depending on the weather. Thanks, Coldwater Alaska for another epic hike. See you next month with more visiting guests.

Where’s the trail map? - The trail is misleading as it show Grewingk Lake and not Grewingk Glacier. The boat captain drops you off at the State Park shore and you’re completely left alone to figure it out. We could have used a trail map. Just a suggestion, but we wouldn’t have felt so blind doing the hike.
