Our Apron Up Cooking Class has been steadily growing in popularity by providing engaging and thorough lessons. Whether you’re an aspiring restaurateur looking to bring Vietnamese cuisine to your hometown or a novice cook aiming to recreate tasty Viet dishes after a vacation, our classes cater to all levels.
Centrally located in the heart of the old quarter, our school is easily accessible. Plus, our market tour to Hanoi’s largest market allows you to familiarize yourself with local shopping spots for the remainder of your trip.
In just a span of 3 - 4 hours, you will familiarize yourself with native spices and produce, get hands-on experience making a complete meal composed of Hanoi’s top 5 dishes - there’s also a vegetarian alternative for plant-based learners. After cooking, you’ll enjoy your creation alongside homemade Vietnamese rice wine with fellow students. Moreover, you’ll receive a cookbook and certificate!

Fun and informative - This was fun, informative and a great way to get know Hanoi and Vietnamese food. We enjoyed going out to local vendor and selecting the food to cook.
Our instructor/mentor Ruby was excellent. She patiently explained how to prepare various Vietnamese dishes. It certainly helped that we were in a very small group with other interesting people.
You don’t have to be a keen cook to enjoy this experience. You will have fun. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great instructor - Ruby was great with all of the explanations at the market and while cooking. The team was very organized and efficient with cleaning up throughout the experience. The food was delicious,. My favorite was the pho but loved all of the dishes and can’t wait to try to make them at home. I appreciate the cookbook and will definitely use it. Thank you, Ruby!

Thoroughly enjoyed - Chef spoke fantastic English and was able to teach us all about Vietnamese food. The food was super tasty. We cooked more food than we could all eat. Only thing I can think of to improve it is air con in the kitchen (there was aircon in the seating areas.

Must do in Hanoi! - Excellent class with Vy! Food was tasty and explanation of ingredients and recipes was superb. I would go again if they offered a more advanced class, this one is great for beginners.

Great Cooking Class Experience!! - Fantastic experience! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with May as our instructor!
It was an awesome opportunity to wander the local markets buying the ingredients we needed for the dishes we then prepared.
May was fantastic, very knowledgeable and has a bright and bubbly personality! Our entire group felt at ease throughout our cooking class. We learnt so much & at the end got to enjoy the benefits of our work!
We made a variety of Vietnamese dishes, a highlight was the fresh paupa salad & fried spring rolls! Thank you so much May, we would highly recommend this experience. Especially at the 4pm time slot as you can then enjoy your cooking for your dinner! 😊

Great cooking class - Fabulous class!! May was an awesome teacher who took the time to explain and we all got to participate in all the steps.
The shopping trip was interesting and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to sharing my skills on my return home using the cookbook that was given to me.

Cooking lesson you shouldn't miss - We had a great time, the cooking class consisted of us going to a local market, where we bought vegetables and meat. Then we went back, socialized, cooked 5 traditional dishes (and homemade egg-coffee) , and enjoyed it in the end.
We had a very professional teacher, whom was eager to learn us about the different ingredients used in Vietnamese food.
