Comprehensive Halong day trip details

Your tour guide will collect you from your hotel lobby (Old Quarter) between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM.

The drive to Halong Bay (Tuan Chau Harbour - Halong’s largest harbor) takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. En route, admire the picturesque rice paddies and traditional Vietnamese farming practices (includes a 30-minute mid-journey break).

Board the boat around noon, just as the crew has prepared lunch. As you dine, the captain will navigate the most magnificent parts of the bay, dotted with thousands of islands. You’ll have the chance to disembark at various grottoes.

During the 6-hour cruise, which follows a route typically reserved for overnight journeys, you’ll pass iconic uninhabited islets named by locals for their unique shapes, such as Cock Fighting and Thumb, all while savoring a Vietnamese lunch on board.

Upon reaching the Bo Hon archipelago, explore the Surprising Cave’s vast array of stalactites and stalagmites, then kayak or take a bamboo boat through Luon Cave to discover a tranquil lagoon.

Stop at Titov Island to enjoy its sandy shores next to a soaring limestone peak, offering an idyllic Bay backdrop. Ascend Titov Peak for a breathtaking panoramic view of the bay.

The cruise returns for afternoon tea as you sail back to Tuan Chau harbor. There’s ample time to bask in the sun on the upper deck with music, and to bond with fellow travelers amidst the iconic natural landscape.

The return to the harbor is around 5:40 PM, with a midway break. You’ll have the opportunity to use the restroom or grab a refreshment. Arriving back between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, we’ll escort you to your hotel, concluding your memorable full-day Halong Bay excursion.
