An Unmissable Experience! If you’re in Hong Kong for a few days, you must allocate a day to Macao. - From the moment I booked the trip everything was smooth. I booked the latest time I could find online but I was able to find the provider’s contact online and we modified it accordingly to hour necessities, we started at 10.30 instead of 9 in the morning. The trip from Hong Kong to Macao is an hour’s drive, if you’re lucky and the sky is clear it’s scenic. Jackie picked us up from the hotel, the car is perfect, spacious and clean, he speaks perfect English. He is very knowledgeable about Hong Kong and Macao, will provide accurate information about local history, habbits, food… I am sorry I didn’t find him sooner to book a day with him around Hong Kong also. Macao is a newer Las Vegas. Although we are not gamblers we enjoyed the day a lot, the entire family enjoyed it, we have a 19 yo and a 12 yo. You can visit the old part of Macao, places where the Portughese settled back in 1480, their neighborhood, old churches, all Unesco World Heritage, you can taste some local food which is very good. You also visit the new part of Macao and it’s impressive what they have built and how much they invested. Definitely worth a visit.

A great way to get a flavour of Macau in a day-trip! - Had an excellent tour. The guide and owner Jackie is well versed in the history, the culture and the practical aspects of life in Macau and took us to spots "off the beaten track" as well as the must go sites like the Venetian. Had an enjoyable, unhurried time and the convenience of door stop pick up, crossing on the Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge is hard to beat. Recommend a full day for this.

Macau - This is Asia Tour - with Jack Wong - We began our tour with Jacky Wong from our Hotel in Hong Kong. Prompt pick up and a very informative drive to Macau. He got us through the immigration process quickly and we began our tour. We went to the highest point of the old fort to see incredible views of the old city and where our walking tour would take us. We experienced the very early days of a small fishing and trading village all the way to the modern casinos. The Portuguese influence on the Chinese culture was/is pervasive. Historic buildings and the many churches provided insight to the Macau of today. Beautiful and varied architecture set the tone for a memorable experience and insight into the cultures. There were both temples and churches on our tour. We ended up at the most modern casinos in Macau (many even larger than Las Vegas)! We went through several casinos, and they have the same glitz and glamour as Vegas. I was surprised at how crowded the tables were. Wear your good walking shoes. We covered about 18000 steps during our walk. The Portuguese / Chinese fusion lunch was exceptional and the egg custard was perfect. Great tour, great guide. We will definitely book another tour with "This is Asia" and Jacky on the next trip to Hong Kong.

Macau with an expert - Macau is a short drive from Hong Kong over the amazing Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge which is an engineering feat and the longest open sea bridge in the world. Jacky with This is Asia Tour drove us from Hong Kong to Macau and then showed us the historic UNESCO side of Macau and then the modern gambling mecca with the many huge casinos. Jacky is a professional who customizes his tours to fit his customers. He is very knowledgeable and fun!

Day trip to Macau from Hong Kong - I had a family of 11 persons with wide age group from 10 years old to over 80 years old, including teenagers, adults, elderly, and young kids. Jacky was resourceful, flexible and accommodating and able to go with the flow. We managed to pack in a lot of sights for the day, including ad-hoc changes to itinerary without issue. My family enjoyed the tour, I'll recommended Jacky (and Liz his assistant) if you want someone experienced who knows the ground.

Macau Disappointment - We regret that we cannot write a good review. Our guide was all show and no tell. He would show us the site, but there was no information given about the site, no “tell”. it was like watching paint dry, but not as much fun! We did not learn anything about any place that we visited. There was no enthusiasm or joy in sharing the “Macau Experience.” He did assist us in helping my husband find some old coins. Much appreciation for that, thanks! More training is necessary for the guide: more storytelling, more history, more juicy facts. Make the beauty of Macau come to life! We only had one chance to visit Macau; we expected and deserved the best!!! Our expectations were not met.
