Absolutely amazing! - Booked this the day before with my partner, our first time in Crete! To say it was amazing is an understatement! Gregory I believe his name is, has such excellent hosting skills, from picking us up at the hotel, to supplying us with some very good humour and jokes. My biggest fear was always horses, but as my missus insisted we go, they managed to shake the fear out of me, the horses are beautiful and so calm, the venue at which you arrive is something you don’t see every day, so much open space, his daughter and staff helping us throughout the walk and taking my, may I say experienced horse rider of a girlfriend, out so she could take one galloping in open field (which she loved!) All I can say is, if you get the opportunity to go here, you definitely should! We are now looking at booking it again throughout the last week we are here! Thank you so much for having us, and helping myself through a very real fear I had!

It exceeded my expectations! - It was a very fun & friendly experience. I was picked up by Irene from my hotel , & driven to the stables. The family that runs the stables was very outgoing, friendly & entertaining and had the safety & comfort of their guests as a priority. The views going up the mountain were beautiful. The horses were well behaved and the lunch & the wine after the ride was very good & relaxing. Everyone had a smile

Amazing experience - Absolutely amazing experience, horses are so well looked after and happy the staff are incredible and make you feel so welcomed and safe, perfect for people with little to no experience to fully experienced and just wanting to enjoy the horsey holiday experience. Horses are so so well looked after, very refreshing to see such happy horses loving their jobs

Horsing Around - Horses great. Horse wranglers terrific. Fellow travels delightful. My one concern is humor (from Owner) may not have been appropriate for all ages or sexes.

Cretian Family run Horse Riding with Buffet - Collected from hotel at stated time (0825) sent to me via email. Collecting more holiday riders on route. Arrived at stables. Horses in good condition. We were offered coffee and tried on hats. We had a talk from the owner about riding and those of us who said we could ride were tested by getting on a horse, looking at seat and rein position. They are very adamant here you do not put pressure on the horses mouth. Even the British way is too strong. Loose reins here. There isn't a mounting block here, instead you are boosted from standing by a member of staff. All of us climbed up then we were off for a hack up the mountain. Two members of staff (Hassan and another) came on foot helping novice riders. The views at the top were stunning. We were given refreshments and the experienced riders were asked if they would like a gallop. ( I declined ) Rode down the mountain to be greeted by a lovely home made meal inc wine. They press their own olives here. The olive oil drizzled on my bread was do tasty. I bought some. Thanks Mama. Taken back to our hotel. I arrived at 1350. I would recommend Finikia Riding Stables. The staff are there to help and support. The owner is a character with a loving family, great staff. I'd certainly go back. For experienced riders you may need more riding time. I certainly could have stayed on horseback for another two hours.

What a way to see crete - This was an outstanding experience for my wee family..absolute laughter from start to finish..Gregory and Irene's hospitality was outstanding..would do this again in heartbeat

Amazing horse riding tour - We had an absolute amazing time on this horse riding tour. The family are extremely friendly and funny! They really do look after and put the needs of their horses first! You are matched to the best horse to suit you. Being an experienced rider I was matched with Victor who is a young horse, an absolute dream to ride even though they said he was the most challenging horse they have. My partner being a novice was given a lovely horse and had a great time. We had lunch with everyone and the food is the best we have had so far in crete! It just kept coming and we were treated to some lovely wine to go with it. You are able to buy your picture for €2 which goes to the care of the local dogs and cats. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was an added bonus! I would highly recommend this horse riding tour. My omly piece of advice is to wear trousers and closed toe shoes! AMAZING - The most amazing horse riding experience we’ve EVER had. The family who run this take the care of their horses very seriously, they are fantastically taken care of and you’re matched to the best horse for your experience and weight. They give you a traditional lunch after your ride and are just amazing in every way. When we visit Crete again we will 100% be returning.

Excellent, I had a fantastic day - Had a great time, I was picked up right on time by our tour guide who took us up the mountains to meet our horse. We were fitted with our hats and then asked some questions and asked to demonstrate a few things to show how much experience we had. We were then matched to our horse. I had Elvis he was lovely. We then went on our walk up the mountains and had a break at the top with juice & watermelon before setting back off down the mountain. Once down I was then given some time inside the school and then we had a lovely lunch before being taken back to our hotel.

Amazing horse ride with amazing people - Today we visited finikia horse riding. As horse owners ourselves from the UK and huge horse lovers we were taken back by the natural beauty of the place. The love these animals receive from their family was evident and we will definitely return one day. The horses were well cared for and so well behaved for all abilities. This trip has made my whole holiday. The food and drink and atmosphere around the table made us feel like we could have stayed there the whole week. 110 per cent advise this booking
